Another podium for Paula! 🥈🔥

A phenomenal 2nd place finish at the Ironman South Africa and another performance that shows exactly why she continues to compete at the very highest level 🤙🏻

What people see on race day is only a small part of the story. Paula works relentlessly day in, day out in training, always searching for ways to improve and get stronger. These results are no accident , they are built on years of dedication, discipline, and hard work

Her last five races say it all:
🥈 2nd
🥉 3rd
🥇 1st
🔟 10th at the Ironman World Championship
🥉 3rd

An incredible level of consistency against the best in the world.

Now all focus turns to Kona and chasing that top 5 finish 👊

Flying home today after a fabulous week in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) to take part in Ironman South Africa. One that’s been on my bucket list for years and it didn’t disappoint 🇿🇦

Everyone in the local and Ironman community had genuine smiles, warmth and friendliness - it really was a special race with a unique African vibe of colour, dancing and singing.

Race day:
The swim was tough with alot of swell and chop which made sighting on the marker buoys and swimming in a straight line difficult!

Onto to dry land. The bike course was very picturesque with lots of opportunity to go fast 💨 It’s always my favourite part of the race, I loved it.

The marathon was hot, I enjoyed it and the support was loud and encouraging - South Africans love to party 🙌

Crossing the finish line I was satisfied I had given everything and very happy to place 2nd in my age category.

Race week is here 🇿🇦🔥

Paula and Sam are ready to take on IRONMAN South Africa tomorrow, both aiming to challenge for the win in their respective age groups 😮‍💨

Paula has already secured her Kona slot, but this one is all about putting together another strong performance as she builds towards the World Championships 🌺

Sam is on the hunt for his Kona ticket — and after a great block of training, he’s ready to give it everything to make it happen 💪🏻

Both have put together a solid build coming into this race and are set up for a big early-season performance.

Let’s go 🤙🏻

Birthday ride in the Chilterns, the gates were open for the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang windmill at Turville 💚 it took me back to my childhood 💚 by @robbo59

Another podium for @robbo59 at Ironman Wales 😍

An amazing race by Paula, but not the race we’d planned or training for. After a great swim Paula set off on her bike. In a little under an hour her bike wouldn’t change gear. 48mins later bike mechanics helped here and she was away with a huge deficit to make up 😬

Unfortunately there wasn’t enough road to catch up the time. However she ran an epic marathon beating everyone by 20mins+… and 1st place was only 28mins ahead 😩 Make of that what you will…

She’s our champ 🤙🏻

Super proud of all you do Paula, people seriously look up to you, keep doing what you do

Ironman Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 what a challenging race and what an electric atmosphere from beginning to end - thank you Tenby 💚
It didn’t quite go according to plan, mile 11 on the bike I had a mechanical issue with my di2 gears (electronic gears) which left me on the roadside for 40 frustrating minutes. Eventually I got it sorted and was on my way. I kept my head in the game and stuck to my race plan but arrived into transition way behind the front pack in my age group 😫
I started my run feeling strong and smashed out a marathon on a hilly course I’m proud of. Managed to run myself into 3rd position. Happy to cross the finish line as at one point I thought my race was over 🙌 by @robbo59
