I’m teaming up with @perigordretreats to bring you a hands-on mixed media art retreat in FRANCE! 🖌️✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💬 Comment “France” and I’ll send you the link!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌅 It’s early morning in the south of France.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The light is soft and golden. There are freshly baked pastries on the table, homemade yogurt, seasonal fruit. The conservatory windows are open and you can hear the countryside waking up.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a few hours, you might find yourself standing in one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France — the kind of place where you turn a corner and just stop. Because it’s that beautiful.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s what ten days in Périgord feels like.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Papers, Patterns & Play — August 30 through September 8, 2027.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’ll make painted papers, layer and collage, stitch fabric into mixed media journals, and yes... my signature beeswax technique is has a starring role. (Fair warning: it’s completely addictive.)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every day we also go out to places like — Rocamadour, Sarlat, Beynac Castle, Saint Cirq Lapopie. Places so beautiful they stop you mid-step.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Evenings? Three-course dinners made with local ingredients by our host and chef, Katel. Wine, conversation, and the kind of creative talk that stays with you long after you get home.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This retreat is for artists of all levels. Beginners are so welcome here. So are seasoned makers who just need space to breathe and play.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Spots are limited and first come, first served.

A few favorites from the last few days in Franklin, Tennessee, Experiments on Paper with @jeanneoliver. I loved getting to explore and play with new techniques...relaxing fun!

And such a good weekend made even better by my table mates, @heather_baley (a most excellent driver) Trina @pink3friday (fancy nails) and @bethchienart (juicy girl). ❤️

So nice to meet fellow Nesters @brendabliss.artist and @chrissy__5 😊🪺
