Day 1 in Nashville 💕 We’re here for tomorrow’s workshop with @jeanneoliver, but of course, we couldn’t start our trip without hunting down some vintage goodies!
One of my favorite finds was a booth by @eesomeco_ — so many beautiful treasures and inspiration in one place!

Ready for a weekend filled with creativity, vintage finds, and making memories with my friend @robenmarie

Baked Artisan papers, a course offered by RMS, I purchased this course some time ago and forgot about it, had a chance to make some today, used what I had available, eucalyptus leaves dye, eucalyptus bark dye (the colours are very different) and some beetroot juice. Used salt, tea, coffee, turmeric and lemon juice at the end before they were completely dry, to get the variations in the papers @robenmarie

It was tricky, yes! And I didn't realise it till I tried!

Drawing a bird sketch on book paper! Tricky! Who new? Well, probably most of you did 😅

Anyways 🤷‍♀️ turns out for my brain the vertical words wreak having 🤔 probably any word alignment actually 🙃

So, this is a journal page from my (way behind) June garden journal - an Australasian Swamphen

I always have swamphens on my creek, but in the off season I only have a few ... i am wondering if those few are keeping guard for the breeding season?

I love this (by me) handmade journal i am working in, which is actually from the hinge journal @robenmarie project.

I am using it now for the nature Journaling, and bird sketching, of my garden over the following months.

Every pivot was a risk. Some paid off and most went bust. I've been building my art business since 2011 - that's fifteen years experience!

For more than 4 years I've had the pleasure to help some of our industry's best known Teaching Artists. And what's even better, I've met many in person!

🩷Fun fact, this is the longest I've stuck with anything besides marriage and motherhood.

Why? Because it's that damn fulfilling. I love helping other reach their Big Audacious Dreams!

Maybe it's time to stop going it alone? Join me for THE BIG SHIFT beginning July 23rd...

🧡This FREE live event is designed to reconnect you with your own vision and begin seeing what artists and makers do differently to grow successful businesses in 2026.

I want to see you there so we can blaze a new path together. We're Artists, we build differently. 🤭

Comment SHIFT and I'll send you a link to register. ✌️

New journal flip through 😍

I made this no sew journal for the June @therobensnest project. I'm happy with the result and will be making more. The page tab binding is such a great way to use up paper scraps!

Not sure whether it's a junk journal, art journal or nature journal, but either way I'll be journaling in it - plus it sits nice and flat!

Better late than never! My handmade book submission for AYBE May prompt - poetry.

I chose Mary Oliver's poem "When I am among the trees" - it's a favourite 🌳

And to save the trees that offer so much solace, I used recycled chocolate packaging, recycled business envelopes and recycled fabric.

The cover is collaged with run off papers and leaf prints, and the tree imagery is from the @collage.soup book Woodland Wonders.

The book structure is inspired by a @robenmarie project in the @therobensnest

I had lots of fun creating this little book, though at times I was a little 😔

the state of the world and all 💔
