Funny story….

A little while back Clay Johnson told Cord he needed goats to practice his roping. Cord has been steady riding us to get goats ever since. I don’t want goats….

This weekend at Blue Ridge Cord’s best friend, Rance (Russ Carroll) brought a few goats to sell. Cord’s other buddy Scott Hulme bought a couple of the goats. The boys “forgot” they weren’t supposed to be roping the goats at the show and accidentally lost one. They chased it all the way down the driveway and across the road. After they aborted the re-capture mission they had to break the news to Russ and Scott about what had transpired….

Scott was so gracious about the whole situation and gifted the remaining goat to Cord. We found out well after the fact, which I’m pretty sure was part of the plan. 😂

We had no way to get “Billy Bob” (as Cord named him) home. But we have a great village. So, Joshua Clark kindly stepped in to give BB a ride home…..

After we unloaded horses Ben and Cord headed to Josh’s to pick up BB. Upon their arrival Josh was happy to announce that as he was pulling out of Blue Ridge the lost goat magically reappeared in the driveway. Josh gathered her up and brought her home, too. So…..

Here we are with the latest additions to the ranch, Billy Bob and Charlene. Not one but two. 🫠

Another Reese update…

To say her summer didn’t go as planned would be an understatement. But she has been the picture of resilience and determination. She had a goal of making a 7th grade volleyball team. After getting kicked in the face she didn’t get to finish her summer volleyball season, participate in summer workouts or volleyball skills in July. She got clearance from her dentist to take private lessons for the last 2 weeks. And TODAY SHE MADE THE 7th GRADE B TEAM! 🏐💙🐾 I am so proud of her hard work and strong will. Here’s to a fall of chasing her down the road to volleyball games! 🥳🙌🏼 by @roberson327

First day back! 📚 🍎

First time in 12 years I haven’t had one at the elementary school. I’d probably be more emotional but to be honest I’m not sad. I’m proud of them. They are all confident, secure, and independent. While we all wish summer would have been a little longer they jumped out of the car full of energy and excitement for the year ahead.

If I can’t be with them all day, they are spending their days with educators I am confident will be pouring greatness into them.
