You are an amazing wife, mother, and the best partner I could ever ask for. This is such a special birthday, and I feel truly blessed to be able to celebrate this milestone with you.

God blessed me with someone who lifts me up when I’m down, believes in me when I need encouragement, and cheers me on through every success. I’m grateful every day for the love, support, and strength you bring into our family.

I hope today brings you all the happiness, love, and joy you deserve. You mean more to me than words can express.

June 17th, we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe how quickly 20 years have flown by.

Over the years, people have asked me, "What's the secret?" The truth is, there isn't a one size fits all answer. I can only share what has worked for me. I never want to speak for you.

Every morning, I choose to love you all over again. I make it a point to find something new to love and appreciate about you each day. Marriage has its challenging moments, but thankfully, we've had far more good days than difficult ones.

You've always had a way of making life's toughest moments easier to face. The challenges are real, but knowing I have someone who will stand beside me no matter what has made all the difference. You've literally and figuratively lifted me up when I was broken. That kind of love and commitment is something we've tried to pass on to our three sons. They've been part of this journey every step of the way.

Another part of my secret is something I tell our boys, when you choose to be in a relationship, you are no longer living just for yourself. Every decision should consider how it affects both of you. In my heart, I've always tried to put you first.

And after all these years, I still see the same woman I fell in love with. I still catch myself checking you out like I did the first day we met. I still get goosebumps when you touch me, butterflies when we kiss, and just like John Legend says, "I still get nervous".

So what's the secret? I'm still figuring it out. I just know that every day I wake up wanting to make you fall in love with me all over again.

The best part of our marriage is that it's real. It's not a picture perfect Instagram relationship. The people who truly know us know that what we have is genuine.

This post is long overdue.

I always make it a point to post when my sons graduate, and now it's been a little over three weeks since @za03_aye graduated. Maybe it's because we've had such a busy few weeks, or maybe it's because I've been dreading the moment my youngest son would graduate. If I'm being honest, part of me is still in denial that you're all grown up.

On June 3rd, you turned 18, and on June 4th, you graduated. I had so many ideas for this post. I thought about sharing all of your graduation pictures with family and friends. I even considered showing how the world sees you versus how I see you. In the end, I decided on a single photo of you.

You always say you're "one of one," and you're absolutely right. There is no one else in the world like you. That's how I see all three of my sons each of you is one of one. Your older brothers set a high standard, and you've always been determined to meet it and carve out your own legacy.

When I look at you, I see the best of both your mom and me. You have a light about you that naturally draws people in. Your senior year was one for the record books, and you exceeded every expectation.

On the basketball court, you finished your high school career as a 4-time Varsity League Champion, made 4 CIF playoff appearances (reaching the second round twice and the semifinals once), advanced to the second round of the CIF State playoffs, earned 2nd Team All-League, 1st Team All-League, League MVP, 2nd Team All-CIF, and was selected as an SGV All-Star. Watching your journey has been everything a dad could hope for.
But your accomplishments weren't limited to basketball. In the classroom, you finished with a 4.2 GPA, earned numerous academic honors, and received the John Greenleaf Scholarship to attend Whittier College the college's highest scholarship. Your mom and I couldn't be prouder. Being accepted to a great private college was an incredible achievement, and earning their top scholarship was the icing on the cake.

Isaiah, I know you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Keep dreaming big and working hard. Mom and I will always be in your corner.

Happy 18th Birthday Zay!

I still remember the night you were born. You were stubborn and decided you would come when you were ready. Ever since then, you've always done things your own way. You've never been afraid to challenge the status quo, and you continue to excel in everything you do.

I am incredibly proud of the young man you have become and excited to see all that you will accomplish in the future. Your determination, confidence, and drive inspire me every day.

Happy Birthday to my son @2dr_nick ! I can not believe you are a quarter century. There times I still look at you as this Lil boy running around naming off cars you see on the street or a young goofy high school kid!
