I am delighted to announce that From the Fragment To the Whole will be included in the upcoming exhibition by @sheroes_collective @deptfordlounge Windows Into the Unseen

Windows into the Unseen is a month-long exhibition where 16 women activist artists transform Deptford Lounge windows into sites of visibility, reflection and dialogue. It brings hidden and normalised forms of violence against women and girls into public view, while amplifying stories of resilience, survival and empowerment through collective care and action. Join us at Deptford Lounge from 16 November to 12 December.

Next Saturday 3.10.26 we kick off the new series of Fused Glass Workshops.

In this first session, you will create your very own suncatcatcher using a variety of colourful glass pieces. Mix colours, patterns and textures to create a unique piece
that’s completely your own.

Your artwork will then be kiln-fired and ready for you to enjoy at home or give as a gift

Each week we will create a different project and learn a new skill✨check my website for details.

The exhibition Art & Activism at Brixton Library is a wrap - thanks to all that came to see it and to Margin Media for inviting me to contribute to it.

I am pleased to announce that my work From the Fragment To the Whole will remain on show until the 1st of October courtesy of curator @ros_black 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The work is visible from Windrush Square Brixton and can be visited during the library opening times.

I am showing 6 selected artworks, mostly created this year during the latest iteration of the project in collaboration with @coventry_cathedral_events and @coventryhaven22 and with the generous sponsorship by @bullseyeglass

Each artwork is the story of a woman who survived domestic abuse told through glass, acknowledging the importance and relevance of these stories that are too often dismissed and silenced.

The exhibition Art & Activism by Margin Art Media continues until 6th September at Brixton Library. Come and see it before it closes!

I’m happy to have contributed a selection of six glassworks created through my project From the Fragment to the Whole - giving voice to stories of domestic abuse.

The project invites women who have survived domestic abuse to glassmaking workshops, where we break glass and create from the fragments. Each piece is created by a participant and stands for their untold story of survival, told through material and form.

Now in its 7th year, @fromthefragmenttothewhole is a socially engaged art project that has been supported using National Lottery funding through Arts Council England @acegrams . It continues to be funded through donations from the public and fundraising workshops - the next workshop will be announced soon :)

We are currently fundraising for the next development of the project, offering more women an opportunity to acknowledge their stories and reflect on them creatively through glassmaking.

A brief summary of what I have been up to last week at @bildwerkfrauenau cutting into 3D glass to allow a form to emerge through the process😍

Not simply a creative process but also technical - learning to work with the lathes, various stone wheels and the (initially terrifying) saw to remove material.

So much was covered about the different wheels and profiles, how to dress the wheels for the right surface, moving from rough to smooth and back again over and over, grinding, polishing, sculpting through the use of these noisy machines, sprinkling water all over us.

A whole week in this super noisy, wet room wrapped in waterproof aprons and wellies with spinning blades and wheels all over the place …and we loved it 😁

best holiday ever 😎

I concluded that some of us just need a struggle to be happy!

For me, making art is a way of giving form to what often remains unspoken. It is a process of transforming lived experience into something that can be seen, held, reflected upon, and shared with others.

I’m delighted to be exhibiting six artworks from From the Fragment to the Whole as part of Art & Politics – Part III: Internationalism – Art as an Expression at Brixton Library.

From the Fragment to the Whole is an ongoing participatory project created in collaboration with women who have experienced domestic abuse. Through glass-making, the project explores how lived experience can be transformed into material form, creating space for reflection, connection, and recognition. Each artwork contributes to a growing collective installation that honours women’s voices as part of our shared cultural memory.

The exhibition brings together local, national, and international artists whose work explores the relationship between art, politics, and social change. I feel very pleased to be part of this conversation and can’t wait for the exhibition.

Bild-Werk offers so much more than glass (and other materials 😁) courses. It is a fine example of collaboration, mutual support, knowledge sharing and being part of a creative community. Great sense of camaraderie, openness and inspiration. The perfect conditions to expand the creative process 💗

I am spending this week in my element✨
@bildwerkfrauenau sculpting in glass guided by the most incredible tutor @samuelweisenborn in this wonderful community of artists.

I am truly grateful to the @alexander.tutsek.stiftung foundation for awarding me a bursary to be here.

Sculpting into a form without planning, allowing the process to inform the form and the ideas to come through. This is a very different approach for me and a methodology that I have never felt very comfortable with until now.

What a blessing to be here ✨
