🦈Megalodon
The king of prehistoric oceans, Megalodon was the largest shark to ever exist, ruling the seas 23 to 3.6 million years ago. Measuring up to 60 feet long, its massive jaws and serrated teeth were designed to crush bones and hunt large prey, including whales. A true apex predator, Megalodon represents the peak of ancient marine power and mystery.
🌊 Messapicetus
An ancient, dolphin-like whale from the Miocene epoch, Messapicetus glided through oceans 7-11 million years ago. With elongated jaws and sharp teeth, it hunted fish and squid, showcasing the elegance and power of early marine mammals.

🐾
Allodesmus
A powerful pinniped from the Miocene epoch, Allodesmus roamed coastal waters around 15-10 million years ago. Resembling modern sea lions, it had strong swimming adaptations and likely lived in large colonies. Fossils suggest Allodesmus may have been an adept diver, preying on fish and squid in the depths, marking it as an early marine mammal success story.
🦈 Livyatan
Named after the biblical Leviathan, this monstrous Miocene predator rivaled the size of sperm whales today. With massive teeth designed for hunting other whales, it ruled ancient oceans with unmatched ferocity.

Nanaimoteuthis haggarti tease for the final spino adventure! Coming soon!
The latest of the new great apex predators of the prehistoric deep.
Nanaimoteuthis haggarti Modeled/Textured by @robertfabiani_art
Animated and rendered by @julian_johnson1234
Music by @mika_hohko
Nanaimoteuthis haggarti stands as an absolute colossus of the Late Cretaceous, stretching a staggering 19 meters from fin tip to tentacle tip to earn its well-deserved prehistoric kraken status. As an extinct branch of giant cirrate octopuses rather than a standard decapod squid, this deep-water apex predator relied on broad muscular head fins and an internal gladius-like shell structure to navigate the pelagic gloom 84 million years ago. Its heavily reinforced, monstrous chitinous beak—dwarfing anything seen in modern oceans—allowed it to effortlessly process massive marine prey, cementing its place as the largest non-colonial invertebrate to ever exist and a terrifyingly efficient shadow in the ancient seas.
