‘Artist @robertfrystudio we first met at university over 25 years ago.

‘I’ve had the privilege of watching his practice evolve from the very beginning, and over the years I’ve found myself returning to photograph him and his work whenever the opportunity arises.

Through all those years, we’ve been there for one another, a friendship that has grown alongside our respective practices.

Robert has been a constant source of inspiration to my own work; his way of seeing, making and questioning the world has undoubtedly shaped my own visual language.

It’s a rare thing to witness an artist’s journey from the beginning, and rarer still to have the friendship alongside it.‘
