Our annual Legends Lock-In was a huge hit! Our dancers spent the night learning choreography, creating memories, and building even stronger bonds with their teammates. It’s always one of their favorite events of the year, and we love seeing them grow both as dancers and as a team!

We can’t wait for everyone to see what our Legends have been working on for this year’s production dance! We think you’re going to love it! taken in Robin Dawn Academy by @robindawnacademy

If there were ever an MVP, a Mr. Congeniality, a human embodiment of everything we hope The Storytellers instills in a person, @alijah.17 would be it. From the moment he walked into Volume 11:11, he brought with him an openness, generosity, and genuine kindness that made people feel seen. He has this rare ability to foster community without ever needing to be the center of it. He includes, he encourages. He notices who needs a hand, a laugh, a little confidence, or simply a place to belong, and then quietly makes room for them.

Watching Alijah stretch himself throughout his Volumes with us has been extraordinary. Not just as a dancer, but as an artist and a human being. He comes ready to listen, question, investigate, contribute, and evolve. His insight and perspective continually added depth to the room, and his willingness to share those thoughts so vulnerably gave others permission to dig deeper too. He is curious without ego, thoughtful without hesitation, and brave enough to let himself be changed by the work. That kind of growth is what this intensive is all about.

Ian had that same kind of magic. He was endlessly supportive of the people around him, eager to share his love of dance, and somehow carried immense talent with a humility that made you love him even more. His warmth, mischief, generosity, and constant desire to keep growing are exactly why this scholarship exists ; to keep a little bit of Ian moving through the room, Volume after Volume. The Ian Berry Memorial Scholarship honors someone who brings light, joy, generosity, community, and an ever-present desire to grow, and Alijah carried all of those qualities with him through every single day of 11:11.

Congratulations, Alijah. We are so proud to name you the second recipient of the Ian Berry Memorial Scholarship and cannot wait to watch where your continued curiosity, heart, and artistry take you next. 💜 taken in New York, New York by @robindawnacademy

The Ian Berry Memorial Scholarship was created to honor a dancer, artist, and human being whose light was impossible to miss. Ian brought joy, enthusiasm, generosity, curiosity, and an unmistakable brightness into every room he entered. He loved dance deeply, supported the people beside him wholeheartedly, and despite the immensity of his talent, remained humble and constantly hungry to grow. He made people feel seen. He made people laugh. He made spaces better simply by being in them.

That is why this scholarship means so much to us. It is not only about talent. It is about recognizing someone who carries forward the qualities that made Ian so unforgettable.

This Volume, that person is Caisson Dobson.

@caissondobson is sweet, kind, humble, hardworking, and incredibly generous in spirit. He has a way of quietly brightening the room, supporting those around him, and approaching his work with both gratitude and a genuine desire to keep growing. There is a goodness in him that feels deeply aligned with the heart of what this scholarship represents.

We are so proud to name Caisson Dobson one of the recipients of the Ian Berry Memorial Scholarship, awarding him full tuition to our next Volume.

Ian’s time here was far too short, but the light he gave us continues to move through the artists who remind us of him. In honoring Caisson, we also honor Ian, his joy, his artistry, his heart, and the beautiful way he made this community brighter.

Congratulations, Caisson. Keep growing. Keep giving. Keep lighting up the room. ✨ taken in New York, New York by @robindawnacademy
