There’s just something about springtime in New York that makes everything feels so much more magical. 💫The trees are in full bloom, the weather is at a sweet spot of not too warm and not too cool and everyone is out and about just enjoying their days. So grateful to have the chance to document this sweet family again—especially during this time of year in their New York home and neighborhood park! 🌿We slowed down, connected and captured those simple moments that are so much a part of their every day routines together so they can remember and appreciate them now and years down the road. It’s those quiet, every day moments that compose your story and the ones I treasure documenting 💛I had the loveliest morning with this family and what made it even sweeter was that the last time we were together I was photographing her maternity session! Now, a year later life is looking different in the best way.Their connection was so gentle and full of joy and it was truly such a fun experience to get to freeze this season of playtime on the bed, snuggling, tiny ponytails and snacks before naps. I can tell they’re truly soaking up every moment with their sweet girl and it’s precious knowing as a mama myself how fast those days go by!All film 🎞️ developed by @iconla by @robirkey

Nothing quite like that newborn bliss 😌The haze and magic of learning and growing in this new season together, cherishing those still and ordinary moments, debriefing about the day during an afternoon feeding…That window of time with your new baby is so many of these things and more and as a mama of three herself, I feel such joy and empathy for my clients going through it. 💛It was such an honor to step into this sweet family’s morning to document and freeze these moments for them. There was such an ease to our time as we instantly bonded over everything from childhoods to the love of records. If you’re a subscriber, you’ve already heard the news… but we’re moving back to the Chicagoland area! ❤️Colorado has been such a sacred, beautiful season for our family full of growth and connection. Time I truly would not trade for anything.And now Chicago is calling us home. We are so excited to be reunited with dear friends and my incredible clients!👏✨I’ll be opening my books once our timeline is settled, so keep an eye out for Summer and Fall sessions soon!Thanks to all of the well wishes and excitement I’ve received already. The way I could easily post 20 more slides filled with absolute gem moments of this adorable family and the fun that was had…truly just one of the most laid back, positive and warm energy filled sessions with the most lovely people. 🥹💛From reading stories and brushing teeth to piling on the couch, people-watching out the windows, and sharing simple snacks and chats in the kitchen—it was a morning that felt so honest and inspired, something I’ll always look back on fondly as a witness to. 💫So beyond grateful for their trust in my approach and letting things unfold organically so we could document their world on a crisp Spring morning in their Brooklyn home. Immediately felt like we’ve known each other for years and years and ya know, that’s pretty great 💛 Plus it doesn’t hurt that we did 90s sing alongs at the piano at one point…perfection hahaI was so honored to be the one to step into their story to document this incredibly special moment in their lives as they are awaiting the arrival of their first child. Ok friends, I truly believe it’s this simple…It’s about collaborating and bringing me into your world to capture those passing moments that compose your story.This is about trust and spending time together, laughing, sharing and connecting.It’s about embracing a new perspective and exhaling out perfectionism and gripping expectations without compromising beautiful art that will last. This is about photos that truly make you feel and transport you instantly to that season, that place, that emotion. It’s about me witnessing the magic you already posses and infusing what inspires me into every frame. I’m stepping into 2026 creating from a place of rest, reset and anticipation. Not hustling for the sake of hustling, but allowing each story the dedicated, attention and care that it deserves.
