A message from Pastor Rob -

“A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.
It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting; for that is the end of all men, and the living will lay it to heart.”

How can the day of death be “better” than the day of birth?
How can it be “better” to go to the house of mourning than feasting?

The answer was never more powerfully evident than in this moment, in this room, last September.

The fragrance of a person, whether good or a stench, remains in a place long after they’ve gone.

Charlie’s life was a precious fragrance… the beautiful testimony of a life lived to the fullest in service to others and in total devotion to Jesus Christ. His death, left the whole world looking to Jesus and thinking about eternity.

May we all strive to be able to say the same.

Charlie looked at politics as an on-ramp to Jesus. He knew if he could get all of you rowing in the streams of liberty, you’d come to its source, and that is the Lord.

My friend Charlie Kirk was murdered today by a coward. His life will be remembered for many wonderful things. He built it all with the power of the spoken word. He never used violence but was threatened every day with violence by those who couldn’t contend with logic and truth and now they have done to my friend what evil always does; it takes away life. Charlie did not die however but instead he has begun to truly live. His life was secured eternally by His Savior Jesus Christ. This truth allowed Charlie to face every threat with courage because he didn’t fear death. All evil knows is death and they derive power from death. Charlie lived for life and will be remembered for this. My heart is broken for his family; His wife Erika and his two precious children. Evil has not prevailed and it will not win.

Build Up Friends & VIP Gathering

It’s not every day you get to meet your only remaining hero & role model—and I don’t use those words lightly. By the Grace of God, this week I had the privilege, no, the honor & blessing, of meeting mine. I’ll admit the sudden invite made me a little nervous, not knowing what to expect, the details of the event, or who would be attending. But as one of the speakers so eloquently reminded us that night, when Mina asks, you can’t say no.

For those who don’t know, @mina.kimmm is the Founder & President of Build Up Korea, political commentator, leader, podcaster, influencer, fisher of men, & just about everything in between. But among all the hats she wears, above all, she is a beautiful daughter of the Most High King. And you quickly discover that beneath all she does, she is one of the most humble, genuine, and caring people you’ll ever meet.

Mina is nothing short of a modern-day Deborah, answering the call & fighting battles few others are willing to take on and an Esther, interceding for her people in both Korea & America. While many churches cower in the face of adversity & persecution in an attempt to stay relevant, Mina stands Biblically firm with the boldness of a lion. When others back out of fear, she doubles down, trusting in God’s promises. The rest of us could only hope to have even 1% of her courage, conviction, & faith.

Build Up Foundation exists to raise & equip the next generation in Korea, America, & around the world to stand unshaken on the truth of God’s Word. It serves as the largest grassroots organization in Korea reaching the younger generation and promoting faith, freedom, & patriotism.

How encouraging to see young people standing boldly in their faith, leaders proclaiming the indelible Truth of God (thank you Pastor Andrew/Rob/Sam), & supporters coming together around a common cause.

Reflecting on that night, I’m reminded this was a God thing—nothing short of Divine intervention.

Today was really special for me and a full circle moment. After @charliekirk1776 was martyred last year, Pastor @robmccoy.us and I flew to Busan, Korea to contend for Pastor Son of @segerochurch who was imprisoned for standing on Biblical truth that the newly elected leftist government didn’t like.

Charlie promised to help him should he be arrested, he was arrested Monday, Charlie was murdered on the following Wednesday. He was imprisoned over 5 months.

He was released temporarily but still faces imprisonment to get him to back down from telling the truth, which he won’t.

I got to see him today for the first time without prison guards and a glass barrier. He is full of joy and gave me a book he wrote while imprisoned. He got to see @vintagechurch.harkerheights and all that God is doing.

We need to pray that he has favor in his government and that our government draws a line to support him. Americans died in the Korean War so that South Korea could be free. Our troops protect them and have for decades so that they would remain free. This is unacceptable Christian persecution from a country that owes the USA so much and one that is over 30% christian.

I pray this gets the attention of the @whitehouse and I know believers within the administration are doing everything they can. Church we need to pray. taken in Vintage Church Harker Heights by @robmccoy.us
