I’m undone and divinely encouraged this morning remembering that it is a gratitude and a hunger to know God better everyday that makes all the difference in my life. Stop. Thank Him. Listen to Him. The Holy Spirit is always speaking, turn down the volume of the world and lean into the wisdom and peace of heaven. @robmccoy.us @vintagechurch.harkerheights

Today I met a hero and general of the Christian faith IN PRISON! Jailed for words, for proclaiming what Christians have proclaimed for 2000+ years in a country where over 36,000 AMERICANS died so they could be free, South Korea.

Pastor Son is a man of God, a loving husband, a beloved father and a faithful shepherd of Segero Church. He is full of faith and being persecuted for the same beliefs of 1/3 of his fellow countrymen. Pastor @robmccoy.us and I only got 10 minutes to encourage him behind glass alongside his mother and son but he encouraged us. To stand and continue to stand for what is Biblical and morally right. He got emotional over the martyr of our christian brother @charliekirk1776 even while he is in prison. He is selfless, kind and the type of man I aspire to be one day. A true defender of the faith and pastor to God’s people.

The South Korean government is holding him for no legal reason while they let pedophiles and North Korean insurrectionists free back into the community. This Communist leftist government has politicized the basic human rights guaranteed by their constitution.

The USA experienced the same attempted color revolution by leftists the past four years, except in South Korea they succeeded. They need our help, our prayers and our voice.

As a pastor whose members regularly rotate through our base in Seoul in a county that is one of our only and closest allies in Asia, this is unacceptable and goes against every value of freedom and democracy our soldiers died to give this wonderful people.

Please continue to pray and use your influence to demand that this government release him back to his wife, children and church immediately. This is no way befitting of an ally of the United States.

We sat right behind Elon at Charlie’s memorial. I watched him, hands clapping in worship, fully locked in as speaker after speaker preached the Word of God. From Charlie’s friends to voices in the President’s cabinet, truth was declared, and he listened for hours.

This is the same Elon who once said,
“I’m not sure if there is a God… but I agree with the teachings of Jesus — forgiveness, treating others as you want to be treated.”
Now he’s posting Scripture.
Now he’s telling people to go to church. Something is shifting.

Charlie, you may be gone from this world, but your life is still waking people up. Your death lit a fire. We are not backing down. Not now. Not ever.

We miss you so much, but we will carry this forward.

Good Call Ministries calls believers everywhere to join in urgent prayer for Pastor Hyun-bo Son and the faithful church in South Korea during this dark and trying hour.

Pastor Son has spent more than 30 years shepherding Segero Church in Busan, once a struggling rural congregation, now a vibrant community of more than 4,000 believers with a deep love for Christ and a bold public witness. Known for his humility and integrity, he has led national prayer gatherings and stood courageously for biblical truth. On September 9, Pastor Son was unexpectedly arrested after months of investigation connected to brief comments made in Sunday sermons and prayer gatherings.

There’s a lot of confusion in the Church today, even among pastors, about what the separation of church and state really means. Somewhere along the way, we started believing that faith was supposed to stay inside the walls of a church building. God never asked us to leave our faith at the door. He called us to carry it into every sphere of life, including government. Not to dominate with political power, but to bring the light of His truth into dark places. And that is needed in the halls of our government now more than ever.
