International Cat Day - not necessary to remind me of my dearest little companion LeeLin who left me lonely and sad in May. The softest, gentlest, tailless companion who steadfastly waited by the door for my return, who woke me many times throughout the night to rearrange her sleeping position, who sat through long hours in the studio, who patiently travelled to distant destinations and made herself at home at once, who went from being a knockabout farm cat to learning to stay inside and walk on a lead, she who always had the belief that any visitor had come especially to adore her. by @robynveneersweeney

1. An ingenious cake mixer with the power to pulverise concrete. 2. FAMILY HINTS. (From an exhibit at the Pioneer Women’s Hut, Tumbarumba). How to handle big brothers. 1 Plant a time bomb set for midnight in their bedrooms. 2 Carry a knife or shotgun during rows. 3 Gag and bound the younger ones to enjoy a meal in peace. 5 Hire a tank full of piranhas for the backyard swimming pool. 6. If all these fail, scream for mother. by @robynveneersweeney

Back to Canberra to demount The Space and Time Continuum Project with #mandyevansart Thanks #m16artspace for having us. Then a brief look at #cezannetogiacometti at #nga loved the small room of Bauhaus artists who came to Australia, including Clement Meadmore, Inge King and Ludwig Hirshfield-Mack. On the way out - Sanne Mestrom’s playground work was fun, riffing well with Sonya Delaunay and Linda Jackson’s work nearby. A little bit of Louise Bourgeois in that wall of eyes. Judy Chicago work shines. Then joy to be back at home with the lovely Ms LeeLin. by @robynveneersweeney

Final Days | The Space & Time Continuum Project

Robyn Veneer Sweeney & Mandy Evans

‘The Space & Time Continuum Project’ is a collaborative exhibition between Mandy Evans, who is based in the Blue Mountains on Gundungurra and Dharug Country, and Robyn Veneer Sweeney, who lives in the Snowy Valleys on land of the Wiradjuri peoples.

The project is a celebration of connection, trust, and the joy of collaboration, bridging time, geography, and ideas. Staged in Canberra at M16 Artspace, the exhibition sits at the midpoint between their two locations and serves as a testament to friendship and the power of working together.

Don't miss it - this is the final week to visit this joyful exhibition!

@robynveneersweeney @mandyevansart

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 12 - 5.

Exhibitions run until Sunday 3 August.

M16 Artspace is supported by the ACT Government.
