I am beyond excited to be granted the amazing opportunity to see an incredible festival in Austin, Texas. "Austin City Limits" will take place in October with two weekends of some of the biggest bands on the scene right now. Some of the greats include: the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jay Z, Chance the Rapper, Run The Jewels, Foster The People, and countless others. I will definitely be posting several videos and I advise all of you to attend any music festival you can. If you have never heard of an artist or a band, it is always a great time to get out there and explore new sounds and great atmospheres! 🎧🎼🎸🥁🤘🤘 • • • #Austin #Texas #City #Limits #Music #Festival #RHCP #JayZ #Rock #Rap #Alternative #Indie #Blog by @rocknrolla_66
"Nostalgia: a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations." Recently, I have found myself indulging into the pop punk period of the early 2000's along with the alternative rock bands that I grew up on. Taking Back Sunday and Brand New are two bands that I would love to see live because not only did I grow up on their music, but I still find myself being able to relate to the songs today. If you haven't heard these albums already, be sure to take the time and listen to some of the anthems of the middle school days, and the B sides that still rock harder than most of the music today 🤘🤙🎧🥁🎸 • • • #TakingBackSunday #BrandNew #Rock #Pop #Punk #Alternative #Childhood #Music #Blog #LongIsland #NewYork by @rocknrolla_66
"I kept everything inside, and even though I tried, it all fell apart." "I wanna find something I've wanted all along, somewhere I belong." Chilled, heartbroken, confused, and unexplainable feelings of sadness are all emotions many of us are experiencing today. Chester Bennington, the lead singer of Linkin Park, has committed suicide by hanging himself. He was only 41. Growing up, Linkin Park was a very influential part of my life. Meteora was one of the first CD's I ever purchased, and I listened to it non-stop for months, as I still listen to it today. Hearing something so original and unique really encouraged me to check out their entire catalogue. With brilliant lyrics, a nu-metal vibe, and extremely powerful vocals made Chester one of the best alternative rock vocalists of my generation. Chester's influence on the music world will continue to grow and his legacy will definitely live on forever. Fly high and rest in peace to a man who changed the game for everyone 🤘🎼🎧❤️❤️ • • • #ChesterBennington #RIP #LinkinPark #Alternative #Rock #Metal #NuMetal #Music #Guitar #Vocals #Drums #Bass #LegendsNeveDie #Blog by @rocknrolla_66
Here's a throwback to 2013 when the acoustics weren't the best, but that didn't matter to us. Writing our first song "Getaway" was an incredible feeling and the rawness of this video symbolizes the beginning. Playing Battle of the Bands and winning second place was definitely worth all the practice and constant rehearsals. I will definitely be posting new videos soon! 🤘🎼🎧 • • • #HighSchool #Beginning #Rock #Metal #Grunge #Music #Drums #Guitar #Bass #Vocals #Rehearsal #Archives #BasementTapes #Blog #AliceinChains #Nirvana by @rocknrolla_66

"Cut loose like an animal. Fired out like a cannon ball; but I waited too long. Got me high from a holy vein, crashed down in a hurricane." Recently, I have came across a phenomenal dynamic duo from England known as Royal Blood. Their sound is filled with blues-rock riffs with a slightly heavier tone, alongside catchy choruses and well-developed song structure. In my opinion, the group resembles Queens of the Stone Age and the Black Keys. Be sure to check out their latest record entitled "How Did We Get So Dark?" and the tracks: "Come on Over," and "Lights Out." 🤘🤙🎧🎼 • • • #RoyalBlood #Rock #Blues #Psychedelic #Duo #Music #England #British #Music #Blog #Guitar #Drums #Amplified #Electric #Acoustic by @rocknrolla_66
"Living east, living free. Season ticket on a one-way ride. Asking nothing, leave me be. Taking everything in my stride." As I spend my Saturday afternoon sweating in my backyard, I have decided to rank my top three AC/DC albums. Now, no disrespect to Brian Johnson (their current singer), but, Bob Scott was a badass legend who gave the band their rockstar reputation. These three albums continue to influence me everyday and I strongly recommend you check them out as well as the group's entire discography 🤘🤙🔥 • • • #ACDC #Classic #Rock #BonScott #Angus #HeadBanger #Music #Blog #Summer #Saturday by @rocknrolla_66

"Well I've got to run to keep from hidin', and I'm bound to keep on ridin'. And I got one more silver dollar... not gonna let 'em catch the Midnight Rider." Unfortunately, this is another post about a tragic event that occurred two days ago. Southern rock pioneer, Gregg Allman, was taken away from us at the age of 69 due to the severe illness of liver cancer. This man was a music god as he was best known as the vocalist and guitarist of the legendary Allman Brothers Band. He was a major part of a revolution in the music world: playing concerts for 3-4 hours at a time and jamming out for as long as he possibly could. I had the privilege to see him live at the Beacon, and I was absolutely mind blown by the show that he put on (they had three drummers!). Once again, it is important to dive into Gregg's legacy and to experience his brilliance and extraordinary talent. Fly high, Mr. Allman 🤘❤️🎸 #GreggAllman #AllmanBrothers #Band #Music #Classic #Rock #Icon #Legend #Blog #RIP #SouthernRock by @rocknrolla_66
"Inside always trying to get back inside. Still I wonder why it ain't right." This #TBT respectfully goes out to Chris Cornell and the brotherhood he shared with Alice in Chains. Forever missing the rock legend who was taken from us way too soon. Fly High, Chris 🤘🤘 #Rock #Grunge #ChrisCornell #AliceinChains #Sap #EP #Music #Blog #Acoustic by @rocknrolla_66
