I’m thrilled to share that two of my photos were nominated for the Instanta 2024 awards, with one of them earning second place. 📷

The first nominated photo was taken in Algeria and features an incredible woman named Aicha, the grandmother of a beautiful little girl, Fatima. I had the honor of sharing tea with them at their nomadic camp in the desert, a truly unforgettable experience.

The awarded photo, however, holds a special place in my heart. Captured in São Tomé back in 2021, it shows a boy named Arilson as he proudly shows me a local old piano inside the @fcriancajuventude building. Probably one of the most uniques moments I’ve experienced.

Recently, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with @fcriancajuventude, who shared an update on Arilson. He’s thriving, thanks to the incredible work of their NGO. Their mission is to create equal opportunities for São Tomé’s underprivileged children and youth by promoting education, health, and human rights—a truly inspiring cause.

Please take 2 seconds to check them out and see the incredible impact such organizations have on our world. If you can, consider donating—even the cost of tomorrow’s coffee can make a difference.

KÊLÊ - ACREDITA OUT NOW LINK IN BIO🎬

In 2021, I had the pleasure of flying to the virgin island of São Tomé, where I found and tasted the generosity and kindness of the population of the small community in the Guadalupe area. I had the opportunity to explore and live with the people of São Tomé, where I learned their way of life, traditions and fun. by @rod_g18

What would you do if one day you woke up and couldn’t see anymore?

Started strong by asking Robert, “Do you watch football?” Not exactly my brightest icebreaker, but thankfully he had a better sense of humour than me.

Had the honest pleasure to chat with Robert Thompson and hear his perspective on navigating the world without sight, only through sound, trust, and the bond with his guide dog Rhona.

His book, created with @irishguidedogs offers a powerful and honest look into life without sight, and teaches everything about awareness and resilience, answering questions you didn’t even know you had.

One of my favourite stories. Grateful for the conversation and the lesson.

The piece is available on CNN Academy Hub.

The UAE’s largest mosque has lights that follow the lunar cycle.

They shift from cool white at the full moon to deeper blue as the moon fades, reaching their darkest blue on the moonless fourteenth night. It’s a clever and beautiful design that leaves a strong impression on everyone who sees it.
