Jesus gave me the gift of walking out my faith alongside my wife, my partner, my helper, the one He’s given me to grow closer to Him with. 🙏🏿✝️❤️‍🔥

I first heard the gospel as a kid (like the 2 young ladies), maybe 8–10 years old. I knew Jesus died for my sins and I needed to be reconciled to God. But without discipleship, or any guidance, I drifted. I treated God more like a genie than Lord focusing on what He could do for me, not who He is. (So pious)

I grew up in a church where emotion was called “Spirit.” Tongues with no interpretation, people convulsing on command, music for hours with no Scripture, healings that never seemed to heal, and prophetic words that never bore true fruit. My heart wasn’t submitted, I wanted spiritual hype, not holiness and coveted things outside of Gods will for my life.

“They have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.” – Romans 10:2
“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” – John 4:24

I was still sinning deeply lying, addicted to lust, mistreating women, loving the world and letting things slide without speaking truth. I’d get headaches trying to read the Bible. My vision was so bad I couldn’t see the big “E” on the eye chart. Spiritually and physically, I was blind which the Holy Spirit later made me aware of.

But in 2021, God pruned me showing me how deceived I had been. I repented. I saw the truth that Christ isn’t about emotionalism, He’s about lordship. Holiness. Surrender.

“O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you?” – Galatians 3:1
“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32

I was baptized into a living faith. My peace returned not through performance, but through “obedience.”Yesterday, I got to walk that out beside the woman God gave me to wash and shepherd in the love of Christ.

Friend, examine your faith (2 Cor. 13:5). Jesus said many will say “Lord, Lord” but never knew Him (Matt. 7:21). Don’t settle for hype. Walk in truth. Jesus is the Truth. If you thought you knew me before I may struggle but I’ve been reborn and accepted into the family of faith unto Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!#jesussavesbro taken in Doxa Church by @rodiesel_22

Give your life to Jesus Christ❤️‍🔥
For those who actually knew me, you know this was not possible without the finished work of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior on the cross and my faith in Him today. Many don’t read captions but if you have a desire to know how He made this possible turn back to Him today, so He can provide you with the peace you need in Him.

Ephesians 5:25-33
25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.[a] 28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of his body. 31 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. 33 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

@portraitsbysami Thank you so much 🙏🏿✝️❤️‍🔥

Yesterday me and my dawg Kendrick got together for some challenges just for fun 😂🙏🏿

I’ve realized again I genuinely don’t care much for competition anymore unless there’s a real opportunity to provide for my family.

For years I gave everything I had to sports, chasing opportunities that could bring financial security to those I love. Had the tangibles and intangibles, but the opportunity never materialized. That pursuit nearly consumed me and somewhere along the way I almost forgot how much I LOVE simply playing games, laughing, and building friendships.

I’ve always been a big kid at heart 😂 Never been much of a trash talker. I just love wholesome challenges and fellowship.

But God has also been showing me how much growing I still have to do

I can be intense and come across judgmental (I’m human) especially when something doesn’t align with my growing understanding of God’s Word. I’m quick to speak up, but I’ll also be the first to cry, repent, and grieve when I’m wrong.

I’m not always the easiest person to understand or get along with but I genuinely LOVE people.

Lately I’ve been studying what it means to walk by the Spirit, be filled with the Spirit, and bear the fruit of the Spirit.
One thing God has been challenging me on is that having biblical convictions doesn’t give me permission to make judgments Scripture hasn’t warranted so watch my speech.

Truth matters but so do gentleness, patience, humility, and love which I try to do based on where I’m at.

Not every disagreement requires my correction and not every moment needs to be so serious. Sometimes it’s okay to simply enjoy the people God has placed around you while being on guard.

I never want to become some miserable old fart who forgot how to laugh, play, and love people ✝️🙏🏿

Still growing, being sanctified and still learning to enjoy the simple things over the grand exposure I once coveted.

Grateful for brothers like Kendrick who remind me it’s okay to just be a kid again. ❤️‍🔥💪🏿 Thanks for hearing and honoring prayers Lord

I KEEP JUMPING AND IT KEEPS ME YOUNG! 😂

Man, I just love being able to MOVE! I’m 32 years old and still jumping around like a big kid by Gods grace to hopefully help someone else.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that getting older doesn’t mean you have to stop being explosive. Obviously we’re all going to age, but that doesn’t mean we should stop challenging our bodies!

SOME OF MY FAVORITE JUMP VARIATIONS

1. Broad Jumps — Horizontal force production and hip extension.
2. Single-Leg Jumps to Box — Unilateral power and stability.
3. Triple Consecutive Broad Jumps — Reactive strength and elasticity.
4. Trampoline Jumps — Because training should be FUN! 😂
5. Broad Jumps to Backflips — Explosiveness and body control.
6. Depth Drop Broad Jumps to Single-Leg Broad Jumps — Force absorption and reactive strength.

Now I’m not telling everybody to go outside and start doing backflips bruh but get outside with some friends and go jump.

But understand this: Being STRONG and being EXPLOSIVE are NOT the same thing!

You can be incredibly strong but struggle to express that strength QUICKLY. That’s why I incorporate different forms of plyometrics into my training and mix it up to help my ADHD.

And NO, I wouldn’t recommend doing all these exercises in one session. Train with INTENT, progress appropriately, and prioritize recovery!

I don’t just want to be strong for my age. I want to remain CAPABLE as I age!

I want to keep running, jumping, playing with my kids, and enjoying the physical abilities God has blessed me with for as long as He allows me to. I’ve noticed how life wears me out and drains me to stop moving many times but God sustains me more than I realize many times.

Sometimes I just jump because I genuinely LOVE jumping, literally anywhere😂

Keep moving, keep challenging yourself, and don’t forget to have FUN. I don’t ever want to become a miserable old fart.

JUMP IN YA WORD 🧎🏿‍➡️💪🏿❤️‍🔥
(You should have guessed this was coming by now)

Your body is either adapting or declining. There is no autopilot. Maybe you haven’t trained in 20+ years and you’re tired of feeling stiff, weak, exhausted, and limited.
Or maybe you’re a competitive athlete chasing more speed, power, mobility, and performance.

Different starting points. Same question:

Do you actually know what your body needs?

Before I prescribe training, I assess.
We find the restrictions. Expose the weaknesses. Establish the baseline. Then we WORK. 📈

You’re not too old to rebuild.
You’re not too young to train with purpose.

Get assessed, Get a plan, Let’s get to work together.

Not everything that feels spiritual is from God.

Not every dream is revelation.
Not every powerful experience is confirmation.
Not every person who says “God told me” is speaking for God.
Not every supernatural manifestation proves the Holy Spirit is behind it.
And not everything that makes us feel peace should automatically be called truth.

Scripture warns us that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Jesus warned that deception can come wrapped in religious language or look externally good (Matthew 7:21–23). Paul warned believers not to blindly accept spiritual claims (1 Thessalonians 5:20–21). John tells us plainly: “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits” (1 John 4:1).

So how do we discern?

We go back to what God has already revealed, His Word.

Does it agree with Scripture in its proper context?
Does it exalt the biblical Jesus or elevate a person, experience, gift, or manifestation?
Does it produce obedience to Christ or simply chase another spiritual high?
Does it withstand careful examination of the Word?

Even Paul’s teaching was examined against the Scriptures by the Bereans (Acts 17:11).

Biblical discernment isn’t rejecting everything supernatural. It’s refusing to call something God simply because it felt supernatural.

Paul said, “Test everything; hold fast what is good.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:21

I’m learning that spiritual maturity isn’t believing every spiritual claim and it isn’t cynically rejecting everything either.

It’s knowing Christ through His Word deeply enough to TEST what you hear.

Feelings can be powerful.
Experiences can be powerful.
People can be convincing.

But none of them outrank Scripture.

Don’t just ask, “Did it feel real?”
Ask, “Is it true?”

📖 1 John 4:1
📖 2 Corinthians 11:13–15
📖 Acts 17:11
📖 1 Thessalonians 5:20–21
📖 2 Timothy 3:16–17
📖 2 Peter 3:15–18

Stay humble before God, stay teachable, stay in the Word. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

I thought strength was about becoming somebody on a field apart from Christ. Jesus is teaching me it’s about becoming a son and servant.

I can bench the weight.
I can run fast.
I can look strong.

But can I be patient when I’m frustrated?

Can I love my wife when love requires sacrifice instead of self convenience?

Can I serve my family when nobody sees it?

Can I forgive?

Can I put my phone down and be in the Lord’s presence for guidance on how to serve my family?

Can my son watch his father and see a man who repents when he’s wrong, keeps his word, loves his mother, serves people, and follows Jesus when it costs him something?

That’s the strength I want now.
Because my son doesn’t just need a strong father.

He needs a father who knows where his strength comes from.

And my wife doesn’t need me pretending I’m the Savior and have it all figured out.

She needs a husband who is continually being conformed to Christ learning to love her sacrificially, “as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” — Ephesians 5:25

I won’t demonstrate God’s love perfectly. I’m still being sanctified but I pray that when my family experiences my love, patience, sacrifice, forgiveness and service, it points beyond me to the One who loved us first.

The goal was never for my family to look at me and think “What a man.”

I want them to look at the way I live and eventually understand “ Wow, What a Savior.”

I had to put down my heart idols. They were receiving sacrifices that belonged to God. They were not a sweet aroma to the Lord even through it looked good. My life wasn’t created to be an offering to achievement, status, sports, money, or self as created things. I was called to become a living sacrifice to God a life that carries the aroma of Christ by faith.

605 LB BOX SQUAT✝️

Box squats can build the structure needed to tolerate and produce greater force.

But what are you building your life on?

Jesus said the wise man hears His words and does them like a man who built his house on the rock.
The storm came. The winds blew.
And the house stood because of its foundation.
(Matthew 7:24–25)

The weight reveals what you’ve physically built.
The storm reveals what you’ve spiritually built upon.

Box squats train recruitment → trials train spiritual endurance. Heavy box squats teach your nervous system to recruit more high-threshold motor units when greater force is demanded. In a greater way, trials produce steadfastness in the believer (James 1:2–4). Pressure reveals and develops your capacity to endure

Train the body but build your life on Christ.
“For bodily training is of some value, but godliness is of value in every way…”
— 1 Timothy 4:8

605 lbs is temporary.
Jesus Christ is eternal.

Galatians 5:16
“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”

Paul is NOT saying try harder to stop sinning so God will accept you.

Galatians teaches the opposite you are justified by faith in Christ, receive the Holy Spirit by faith and THEN learn to walk by the Spirit.
And “flesh” isn’t just sexual sin.
Paul includes jealousy, anger, rivalry, division, envy, drunkenness, impurity, and more (Gal. 5:19–21).
The Christian still experiences the battle between flesh and Spirit (v.17) but the flesh is no longer your master.
So how do you know you’re walking by the Spirit?
Look at the fruit: That points back to Christ
Love Joy Peace Patience Kindness Goodness Faithfulness Gentleness Self-control.
You don’t walk by the Spirit to BECOME Christ’s.
You walk by the Spirit because through faith, you BELONG to Christ.

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25
Don’t just fight the flesh.
KEEP IN STEP WITH THE SPIRIT He’ll guide you to discern what is right according to His ways ✝️#Jesussavesbro #JesusisKing taken in Racks Fitness Solutions by @rodiesel_22
