JUSTICE-IMPACTED VOICES MATTER!!!

Your voice is your power, and your vote is your opportunity to help shape the future! If you’re justice-impacted, currently on probation or parole you can vote in Pennsylvania! Your voice deserves to be heard.

The deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania is October 19th! Don’t miss your chance to make a difference. Go to pavoterservices.pa.gov, and register here immediately, it’s that easy!

I’m urging all justice-impacted individuals, families and loved ones to get involved, get registered, and as President Obama said: “don’t boo, VOTE!!!”

Stand up on November 3, 2026 for criminal justice reform, second chances and policies that impact our communities.

And if you have a loved one who is currently incarcerated in Pennsylvania, make your voice count for the issues that affect them too!✊🏾

I want to give a huge THANK YOU to Elizabethtown College for inviting me to speak with your students!

It was an incredible experience connecting with students studying Criminal Justice, Law, Social Work, Psychology, Corrections, and Policing.

I truly enjoyed sharing my story, my lived experience, and the lessons I’ve learned along my journey from wrongful incarceration to reentry, advocacy, and becoming a voice for justice.

What made the experience even more meaningful was the opportunity to engage, answer questions, and learn from the students themselves.

Your curiosity, thoughtful questions, and passion for making a difference give me hope for the future of our criminal justice system.

Thank you to Professor Ashley Yinger, faculty staff, and students for welcoming me and creating such a meaningful space for conversation and connection.

The next generation of justice professionals has the opportunity to transform the system and I’m honored to be part of the conversation.

The journey continues. ✊🏾⚖️

FULL CIRCLE ❤️🙏🏾🧱💪🏽

This past Saturday was truly special. It was awesome being back home again and visiting the Chester Boys & Girls Club, reconnecting with one of my old mentors, Mr. Legette!!!

When I was young, he was one of those men always trying to talk some sense into me.🙏🏽 He was someone we looked up to at the old Boys Club, Chester High School, and throughout the Chester community. Seeing him again after all these years was truly beautiful.

Even while incarcerated, I never forgot where I came from. I made it a point to donate from my own prison wages to support the Chester Boys & Girls Club and the positive work they’re doing for Chester’s youth.

From being a kid in the club, eating those free lunches, playing basketball, going swimming to coming home after 30 years of wrongful imprisonment and giving back, this is what full circle truly looks like. ❤️🧱💪🏽

Some of the most meaningful change begins with a simple conversation.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet with Dauphin County Commissioner Justin Douglas to share the vision behind Justice Now Consultings, LLC and the Prisoners’ Lives Matter Pennsylvania Campaign. We discussed the importance of restoring hope, my personal story of wrongful imprisonment, and creating a criminal justice system that reflects accountability, fairness, and opportunity for all.

Thank you, Commissioner Douglas, for your time, thoughtful insights, and commitment to engaging in these important conversations.

And a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tom Fink for making this introduction and helping build a connection rooted in service and positive change.

Together, we can accomplish far more than any of us can alone. I’m excited about the relationships we’re building and the opportunities ahead to create lasting impact across our communities.

I am thrilled to share that I have completed and received certificates of completion or achievement from two remarkable initiatives this year.

First, I completed the Penn State University’s Rising Scholars Program in April of 2026.

Second, I graduated from the Latino Justice’s Freedom in Practice Academy on June 24, 2026.

These experiences were truly extraordinary, and I dedicate both of these achievements to the youth in my Chester, Pennsylvania, community!!!❤️🧱💪🏽💪🏽 by @rodneyhome30

I was deeply honored to serve as a panelist at the “Now or Never” Annual Conference hosted by the Harvard Black Law Students Association at Harvard Law School, on March 6-7, 2026.

The theme “Now or Never,”perfectly reflects the moment we are in as a nation when it comes to justice reform.

During the panel, I spoke about the urgency of justice, and why it is critical that individuals behind prison walls have meaningful opportunities to be heard in the legal process.

Having spent three decades incarcerated before my own release, I understand firsthand how essential access to advocacy, legal knowledge, and community support can be.

What made the experience even more powerful was the extraordinary room filled with Black excellence, law students preparing to become the next generation of legal leaders, judges, professors, practicing attorneys.

Other panelists included the Manhattan District Attorney, the executive director of the congressional Black Caucus, judges, professors, and so many leaders from the business and advocacy communities.

For me, the moment symbolized a full-circle journey from the Harvard Defenders Litman symposium theme “jailhouse lawyer to justice warrior,” and a reminder that the pursuit of justice is a collective responsibility.

A special thank you to the Madam President Bianca Williams-Alonzo, Co-Chairs Christopher Egi, and Danielle Geathers, the entire spring conference committee members and the HBLSA executive board members for their leadership in organizing such a powerful and inspiring conference.

A special shoutout to Harvard Law students Josiah Laney, and Elise Colin who moderated the “Urgency of Justice,” panel I spoke on!

And I was truly humbled to end the evening by being presented with flowers, a beautiful gesture that reminded me that the work we do together matters.

The urgency of justice is real.

So honored to speak at an extraordinary Litman symposium with the Harvard Defenders. It was lit!!!🔥🔥🔥

For years, my fight for justice began behind prison walls as a jailhouse lawyer. But today my mission has evolved.

I spoke about the importance of shifting from “me” to “we” by using my lived experience and transition from a jailhouse lawyer into a justice worrier after my release after 30 years of wrongful incarceration.

Justice cannot depend on the size of someone’s bank account.
Too many people face the legal system alone simply because of poverty.

That’s why I was deeply moved by the work of the Harvard Defenders are doing by dedicating their time and talent to represent those who cannot afford counsel. The law students I met are all going to become great lawyers because of school organizations the Harvard Defenders!

Their commitment reminds us that justice must mean the same thing for the poor as it does for the powerful.

Grateful for the opportunity to share my story and stand in solidarity with a new generation committed to fairness and dignity for all.

To all my Harvard Defenders, you will always have a friend, supporter and ally in me.

It was truly an honor to connect with Stefan Roots, Mayor of Chester, this past Thursday evening at the Safe Corridors work mixer in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Being able to personally thank him for his support of my release from prison meant more than I can put into words. Leadership matters, and when elected officials stand behind redemption, second chances, and real community restoration, it makes a real difference.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to express my appreciation face-to-face. Moments like that remind me why I continue this work.

Shout out to Jonathan Abdul Raheem King as well for the invitation and for his continued support.

And a special shout to Josy Wells and Shelli for there support of me as well!

It was an incredible evening filled with connection, purpose, and forward momentum for our community.
