LOST DOG! ⭐ (my second album) is out today

the album that shoved me back into the land of the living and made me realise how fun making music can be.

thank you @liamcraig for everything (we’ve been working together for ten years (!!!) now. that’s wild.), it’s the greatest honour getting to put songs together with my best friend.

a big thanks to wonderful @katietavini for mastering, @ciaramcmullanmedia for making the visuals come to life and @ethandiver for being my time-keeper/videographer/sound engineer and biggest supporter throughout the making of this record

happy listening,

roe <3 by @roemusic

Meet @roemusic | Aesthetica New Music Stage

Derry-based songwriter roe describes herself as “an emotional car crash with free will and an impulse to write." Her influences span Irish singer-songwriters such as Orla Gartland, alongside American artists including Medium Build and Rainbow Kitten Surprise.

Her live performances have taken her to Reeperbahn, SXSW and a UK arena run supporting Snow Patrol. Her 2022 debut album 'That’s When The Panic Sets' In was praised by The Irish Times as “an exceptionally sophisticated succession of confessional songs”.

See roe live at the Aesthetica New Music Stage at York Theatre Royal on Saturday 7 November.

Listen to the full Shortlist & Longlist via the link in bio.

🎟️ Book your Saturday, Unlimited or Music at Aesthetica Pass for access to the New Music Stage. by @roemusic

i’ve been so swept up in the release of my second album that i haven’t written in a while, and naturally the fear that i’d never write anything worthwhile ever again started creeping in (as it always does)

but today i wrote this

pov you’re a songwriter who was told to get with the times and do a little dance - does this, is this thing, am i doing it right?

hi friends, i recently got to go in depth and sentimental on ‘LOST DOG!’ with the wonderful people @the_industryreview and i’ve left a link for you to read through it in the usual spot. you may read things like

‘there will always be joy that quietly creeps in, until eventually you find yourself in a place that you had forgotten even existed. This record, to me, was that joy.’

and

‘oh sh*t’

it would mean an awful lot if you could take the time to read through what i wrote <3 by @roemusic

lots and lots of good news for you <3

but first of all, huge love to ben & jenny @poppylanesessions (and mr snoop) for having us last night, it was such a special show and i am extremely grateful to play a room like yours.

‘Adrenaline’ has been longlisted for the NI Music Prize single of the year! 🏆 and if you’d like to vote for it, you most certainly can

i’m heading across the pond to york! i’ve been selected to play the new music stage at @asffestival in november alongside a number of incredible artists and i cannot waittt

and lastly, ‘Team Player’ is now on @amazingradiouk’s C-List, so keep an ear out pals (a big thank u to the wonderful people at amazing radio for being so supportive of the album)

my heart is very full today
