Every photo I take is a bit of riding I didn’t do. That’s the deal when you ride and shoot. The photos of me on a bike usually come from Lisa, or from me setting up the shot myself. Either way, one of us is having to is think about the camera instead of the ride. At the Cardo Venture launch day at Sweet Lamb, that someone was Roberto, a pro photographer. I was on a brand new Ducati DesertX, my first time on one, and I never had to think about a single frame. No stopping, no going back to do it again for the camera. I just rode, and Roberto caught it. I’m used to being behind the lens. But not this day, it was I’t was a day of pure riding. Here is what that day looked like from the outside. If you ride and shoot, you know what I mean. A very French weekend of old bikes, wet grass and grey skies. Norman Sprint Grass. 150 metres of full throttle on vintage motorcycles, all built before 1965. No timings, no trophies. Just racing for the fun of it. Rain, mud, old patina and some beautiful machines being ridden exactly as they should. Last Friday I hit the Welsh mountains with @sweetlambadv on the incredible @ducatiuk Desert X, whilst testing out @cardo_uk ‘s new Venture helmet! 🤯 - This is the first of this kind of event I’ve been involved in, and what an eye opener it was into what a ‘content day’ looks like… If you’d have told me at the beginning of the year, that I’d be involved in something like this, I’d have laughed you out the room! 🥹 - Cardo’s new venture helmet is the worlds first adventure helmet with a fully built in intercoms system. James and I just decided to go out for a ride and shoot some stuff for Ultimateear. This is what we ended up with. Although, getting James off my bike was a different story. Not sure if he couldn’t hear me with the Ultimate Ears in, or if he just chose to ignore me and carry on riding… I think he liked the bike a little too much. 😉 taken in United Kingdom by @roga______
