Over the years, I’ve operated across so many different corners of video and audio production—from live concerts and sports to studio broadcasts—but the element I have truly grown to love most is capturing history for future generations. 🎥🏛️✨ This is me behind the lens working alongside GMIA on the groundbreaking UKGMA archive project (ukgma.org.uk). There is nothing quite like sitting opposite the giants and trailblazers who laid the brickwork, interviewing the very pioneers who formed the sound of UK Gospel music, and putting their legacy firmly on record. Documenting our heritage isn’t just about looking back; it’s about preserving the receipts so the next generation knows whose shoulders they stand on. And you know what? Even with everything we’ve documented so far, I honestly feel like my journey has only just begun. Watch this space—much more history to capture, tell, and celebrate! 👀🚀 What piece of UK Gospel or British music history do you want to see uncovered next? The outside vibe is officially freezing, but you know the drill! 🥶❄️🧥 When the temperature drops, the temptation is always to stay huddled inside by the radiator. But for me, wrapping up in warm layers, stepping out into that crisp air, and pounding the pavement is non-negotiable—it is pure medicine for the mind, body, and soul! 👊🏾✨ Sneaked a solid 3-mile walk in today to clear out the mental noise, keep the joints mobile after the weekend, and reset the engine. 🚶🏾‍♂️💨 At 50, physical movement isn’t just about intense training sessions or 90 minutes on the pitch—it’s about regular, restorative daily habits that keep you grounded and sharp. Cold weather or not, we keep stepping! 🔋⚡️ Who else loves a brisk, wrapped-up walk in the cold? Pitchside watching the lads battle weekend —and as much as I hate missing out, playing the long game in your 50s means managing injuries differently! ⚽️🥶🧠 When you’re competing against youngsters week in, week out, you can’t just run through every single knock. It’s all about longevity so I can anchor Clarendon FC for the entire season, not just burn out by December! This is only my 2nd game sat out across 10 fixtures—not bad at all for an “old man” putting shifts in at centre-back! 😤🧱 With the UK weather turning freezing cold, the joints and muscles immediately ask: “What are you doing to me?!” 😂 But instead of giving in to the aches, I’m fighting it head-on. Time to completely dial in my warm-ups, extend my pre-match prep, and protect the engine so I’m 100% available for the next war on the grass! Ice, heat, mobility, and recovery mode activated. Big shift from the squad today! 🔋⚡️ Who else has to overhaul their warm-up routine the second the cold weather hits? Day 31 of the @bodysharpmikey press-up challenge: BONUS ROUND & A BRAND-NEW PB OF 65 REPS! 💥📈🔥 Just when you thought the 30-day challenge was over, we pushed it one day further. Yesterday we touched 60, but today something clicked—locked in, found an extra gear, and smashed clean through to 65 strict reps! 😤🧱 Looking at the numbers across October: * Day 1: 25 reps * Day 14: 50 reps * Day 30: 60 reps * Day 31: 65 reps (New Personal Best!) That is 40 extra reps added to the tank in just 31 days. At 50 years old, this challenge proved that age is no barrier when daily consistency and mental toughness lead the way. The formal challenge might be in the books, but this isn’t the finish line—it’s the standard now. I definitely need to keep this daily discipline going forward. Longevity on the pitch, stamina in the studio, and staying strong for life! Massive thank you to @bodysharpmikey and the entire @bodysharp community for the push this month. ⚡️ #Bodysharp #PressUpChallenge #Day31 #65Reps #NewPB PersonalRecord BodysharpMikey FitInMy50s Over50Fitness DailyDiscipline ConsistencyWins LifestyleNotAChallenge NeverStopMoving by @rogermooreuk

Day 30 of the @bodysharpmikey press-up challenge: THE GRAND FINALE — WE TOUCHED 60 REPS! 🏆💥📈🔥 30 consecutive days. Zero days off. We made it to the finish line! Yesterday I asked if 60 was possible, and today I wasn’t leaving the floor until the counter hit the big six-zero. I’ll keep it 100% real with you: they were small, gritty, squeeze-them-out reps by the end because the chest, shoulders, and triceps had absolutely nothing left to give! But the discipline didn’t waver—60 reps locked in! 😤🧱 Looking back at this journey: * Started on Day 1 at 25 reps * Battled through full 90-minute football matches and match injuries * Pushed out reps live on #TheLiftShow on @Affinityxtra * Survived brutal 1-hour sessions with Mikey and @sabreenaray71 * Tested failure at Clarendon FC training and switched up with sea lion variations * Day 30: 60 reps to complete the challenge! At 50 years old, this wasn’t just about building upper body strength—it was about daily mental resilience, showing up when tired, and refusing to negotiate with excuses. Massive respect and salute to @bodysharpmikey for setting the bar high, and big up everyone across the Bodysharp community who stayed on track this month! ⚡️ What daily habit or challenge are you taking on next? Day 29 of the @bodysharpmikey press-up challenge: 58 REPS IN THE BANK! 💥📈🔥 We are literally 24 hours away from the finish line. From 25 reps on Day 1 all the way to 58 today in my 50s—the progress over this month has been unreal! 😤🧱 Arms are feeling the miles, chest is on fire, but tomorrow is the grand finale: Day 30. Now the big question staring me right in the face: can I touch the magical 60-mark tomorrow to wrap it all up? 👀🚀 Just 2 more reps to make it 60. Mindset is locked, recovery starts tonight, and tomorrow we leave every single drop of energy on the floor! Big salute to Mikey and the @bodysharp crew for setting the standard every day. ⚡️ #Bodysharp #PressUpChallenge #Day29 #58Reps #RoadTo60 TheFinaleIsComing BodysharpMikey PushupChallenge FitInMy50s Over50Fitness by @rogermooreuk

Day 28 of the @bodysharpmikey press-up challenge: NEW PERSONAL RECORD — 57 REPS LIVE ON THE STUDIO FLOOR! 🎙️💥📈🔥 Bringing the challenge right back to the mixing desk during #TheLiftShow on @Affinityxtra We are 28 consecutive days in, and despite all the fatigue, matches, and daily shifts, the engine just keeps levelling up. Cue the tunes, hit the floor between links, and locked into pure rhythm to smash out 57 clean reps! 🎛️📻😤 From starting at 25 reps on Day 1 to pushing past 57 in the final days of the month—at 50 years old, consistency beats every single excuse out there. Big salute to Mikey and the @bodysharpmikey family for keeping the standards sky-high! ⚡️ Only a few days left to close out the challenge! What numbers are you logging today? Fueling #TheLiftShow on @Affinityxtra with one of the most controversial snacks in confectionery history! 🍫🥥📻 Half-eaten bar sitting right by the faders, and I have zero shame: Bounty has been in my Top 3 since I was a kid, and it still hits the spot to this day! People love to leave them at the bottom of the Celebrations tub at Christmas, but while everyone else is fighting over the others, I’m happily clearing the lot! 😂🙌🏾 Good tunes rolling, desk dialed in, and childhood favourites keeping the energy high on air. Let’s settle this once and for all in the comments: Bounty—absolute elite tier, or straight in the bin? 👇 #TheLiftShow #AffinityXtra #StudioSnacks #BountyBar by @rogermooreuk
