When thinking of my homecoming campaign, I knew I wanted to root it in connection and purpose.

Reach, the first platform point, is vitally important to me because simply put, we must reach people to educate about heart health and provide resources to better cardiovascular wellbeing.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, and yet up to 90% of cases are preventable through early intervention and lifestyle changes.

It’s time to reach out to those around us, and make sure we are doing our part to create a cardiovascular safe campus.

One thing about me is I LOVEEE a decaf latte, so what better way to continue Roll With Rylie than with a percentage day at Turbo Coffee?

A fun fact is that Turbo has played a large role in my college experience. From friend meet-ups, to study sessions, to quick latte runs before events, Turbo has been a place of memories.

Thank you to everyone who came out to get a little pick-me-up before starting their day! It meant so much to start my morning with people who mean the world to me!

EVERYONE PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER FOR THE BEST CAMPAIGN MANAGER EVER!

Abby Moore is not only a nursing major, Drum Major with the MDB, or dear friend - she is a light for SO many. She is someone who lives life with intentionality and kindness. She meets people where they need to be met, and offers a helping hand in any situation. She is sunshine in human form and brings a smile to everyone she meets.

I am absolutely blessed to have her by my side during this adventure. She has brought such hope and energy to Roll with Rylie, and I could not thank her enough for everything she has done.

WOW! What an amazing first event of campaign week! What a blessing it is to be surrounded by so many intentional people. I’m so grateful for people like this who have made my time at the University of Alabama so special! I loved being able to talk about all things homecoming and my platform, Roll with Rylie!

In 2022, I was honored to have been named a Crimsonette with the Million Dollar Band. Since that moment, much of my college experience has been shaped by my coaches, fellow band members, and Crimsonette teammates. My time at the Capstone would not be the same without them, and I thank God for putting such incredible people in my life.

This week, I am honored to have them stand next to me as part of my campaign team. Not only that, the support my teammates and the MDB have show me already is surreal. They truly mean so much to me, and to experience such a special chapter of life with them is a dream come true.

Stay tuned to meet our AMAZING campaign manager, who is also a member of the MDB and one of our incredible drum majors!

GOOD MORNING UA! ❤️

My name is Rylie Dewley and I am forever grateful to be running to be your next Homecoming Queen. I am a senior at the Capstone majoring in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and I am SO excited to share my platform, Roll with Rylie, with y’all this week!  
Roll with Rylie is a four-part initiative dedicated to bringing cardiovascular resources and education to the University of Alabama community. As an eight-year heart disease survivor, I know firsthand how deeply heart disease can impact not only the person experiencing it, but also the people who love them.

My journey as a heart disease survivor has shaped the person I am today. It has made me more grateful for the people around me and more passionate about making sure others have access to the resources and support they need. I want to use what I’ve been through to make a difference for others.

I am beyond blessed to have the opportunity to turn my story into something bigger than myself and use my voice to advocate for a cause so close to my heart. Through Roll with Rylie, I hope to create a campus where students feel empowered to prioritize their heart health and understand that even the smallest steps can make the biggest difference. My heart is so full knowing that I have the opportunity to share how much UA has impacted my life while raising lifesaving awareness for cardiovascular health and wellbeing.  This is so much bigger than a campaign. This is my story and my purpose. 
I hope y’all will join me as we come together to make our campus a healthier place and spread a little more heart along the way! Be sure to participate in #RollWithRylie on Tuesday, October 20th, on MyBama from 7 AM to 7 PM. Every bit of support means so much, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together!
