OFFICIALLY THE ICEMAN. #worldrecord

Never would have thought that posting my icebaths daily for accountability would eventually validate this feat.

Record Holders Republic (RHR) is a legitimate world record registry with offices in the UK and US, founded in 2001 to document records without extravagant fees, sponsorships, or funding required by larger organizations. It is a recognized registry that authenticates feats with dedicated team, advisors, to corroborate and published records. Founded by Dean Gould, a holder of 40 world records. RHR has built a reputation for accessible and credible record verification.

Ending this week still flying high, full of dopamine. I got the chance to meet (and plunge!) with the pioneer of cold immersion and breathwork. I discovered @iceman_hof during a time when everything felt dark for everyone. I started practicing his breathwork and eventually ventured into the cold through daily ice baths. For years, I’ve wanted to meet him in person. He’s been one of the most important catalysts in my journey and played a huge role in shaping the person I am today.

This week, that dream came true. Special thanks to @tcche_org for making it a reality.

One piece of advice: we all only get one ride. Send that email. Post that post. Slide into that DM. Life is too short. You never know who you’re going to meet, who you’re going to inspire, or whose life you might change — including your own. 🚀🧊

Still one of the highlights of my year. Sharing an ice bath with @iceman_hof at @othership reminded me that the cold doesn't ask you to be fearless, only to stay present.

Cold plunges have moved from fringe biohacking into ordinary wellness culture. Most of it traces back, directly or indirectly, to a 67-year-old Dutchman @iceman_hof and a system he has been teaching since the 1990s.

A recent 2026 peer-reviewed study of more than 400 adults just gave that system its strongest scientific endorsement yet. Researchers found that combining breathwork, cold exposure, and mindset may improve how the body handles stress, supports energy, and builds resilience.

After 2,000+ consecutive days of cold immersion, I've experienced those changes firsthand. I truly believe the cold is where my growth lives.

Five years ago today, I made a choice that changed my life — I chose discomfort. What started as a challenge became a daily practice. Today, I live by it.

Grateful to have spent my summer up north and moments like this remind me to slow down and go back to my roots. I grew up saying grace before meals, but as I grew older came the realization that "I forgot to pray."

It's easy to overlook something as simple as saying grace. In a world that moves fast, meals turn into routines. But this simple act is actually a powerful act of humility. It's a reminder that everything in front of us isn't random. It's a gift and a privilege.

Saying grace before meals does more than bless our food, but it blesses us. It reminds us we're not self-made, self-sufficient, or alone.

Gratitude changes the table and the heart. Happy Sunday!

I might be the slowest in the room, but I am in the room. My name is Ron, and I am an IRONMAN 70.3 finisher. When someone says they’ve finished a half Ironman, they’re not bragging, they’re celebrating. They climbed the mountain and simply showing you the view. Their mission, accomplished.

RECAP: At 5:30am, I did what I came to do. Race started with 1.9K swim, a 15-minute walk to the start line. I met Anne-Marie, a 72-year-old athlete who has completed this race and a full Ironman every year for the past 4 years. She had surgery recently. She inspired me.

I swam my PB (42:35). I was gliding, got kicked in the face three times, and watched my @garmincanada get thrown while the amazing wetsuit strippers helped me out at T1. Volunteers were the real MVPs.

The 90K bike through Muskoka’s rolling hills was my longest ride ever. It was beautiful, challenging, and another personal best. I expected 5 hours but finished in 4:09.

Then came the run. Minutes in, I realized I'd left my timing chip in T2. I ran back, adding 3K and losing 31 minutes. I considered quitting. The hills were relentless. A 70-year-old runner passed me, gave me a thumbs-up, and kept going. Humanity is awesome.

By 18K, everything hurt. There's blood in my urine (it's hematuria —runner's bladder). Volunteers poured water and ice over me. I kept asking officials if I could still make the cutoff. Every answer was: "RUN!" So I did.

At 21K, I crossed the finish line in 8:26:28—just under the 8:30:00 cutoff.

You see. I'm celebrating my win. I did it. I gave all I've got. For myself. By myself. For my hardwork. For the early mornings. For consistency. For the blood and sweat. For believing that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Thank you to everyone who supported this journey. Special thanks to my coach @bryan.rusche and all my sponsors who believed in me from day one. I AM 6 YEARS SOBER TODAY.

Six years ago, I stopped drinking and partying. It was the height of the pandemic, the 3rd lockdown, and honestly, one of the darkest periods of my life. I got COVID from a bartender at a rooftop bar, my social life disappeared overnight, and I realized how much of my life revolved around being social and drinking. So I stopped. Cold turkey. I didn’t know what was coming. I just knew I needed something to change.

A little over a month later, I discovered cold immersion. One cold plunge became another, then another. I never stopped. The cold became my new outlet, my daily confrontation with myself. It taught me to sit in discomfort instead of running from it. To stay present when every part of me wanted to escape. Six years sober. Six years of getting into cold water every single day. 2,000+ consecutive days. What started in lockdown completely changed the direction of my life. I found the light.

I went from losing myself in the nightlife to finding myself in discomfort. From avoiding running for years to finishing my first half marathon, then my first Ironman 70.3. I’m not sharing this because I have it all figured out. I’m sharing it because I know what it feels like to be in a dark place and not know what comes next. Sometimes you just need to make one decision. Then another. Then keep showing up. Six years sober today. Still becoming the best version of me.

If I have managed to do it, and so can you.

Forward always.

I spent most of my younger years being the life of the party until it caught up with me. I was stuck in the same patterns, having the same conversations, heading in the same direction. Then lockdown happened. It became a blessing. I made a choice to become sober: change my lifestyle or keep going down a path that would eventually destroy me.

Six years later, my life finally feels like mine. I wake up with purpose. My mind is clear. I'm focused, and I'm surrounded by people who genuinely push me to become better.

A few days ago, I crossed the finish line of my first IRONMAN 70.3. Instead of feeling relieved that it's over, I'm already thinking about the next one. I miss the training, the structure, and the daily pursuit of becoming a little better than I was yesterday.

I used to think endurance training was about building a stronger body but our body follows wherever our mind decides to go. Endurance sports didn’t just make me fitter. It made me mentally unbreakable.

This journey wouldn't have been possible without the people and brands who believed in me from day one. Your support helped me accomplish something I once thought was impossible:

Part 1: The summer of me (and a few special guests).

So grateful I got to spend my whole summer up north after my Ironman 70.3. I came to @thetraceresort in the Kawarthas to recover and somehow never made it back to the city.

It became the perfect place to continue my training, slow down, and spend more time in nature. I got to witness a solar eclipse, lunar eclipse, meteor showers, the milky way, orange smoky skies, double rainbows, and some of the most breathtaking sunsets.

Maybe we were never meant to have it all. Maybe this is what having enough feels like.

I’ll be spending a lot more time here this Fall.
