LEARNING TO ACCEPT HELP has been its own kind of project, color loves.

While I’m usually the one rolling up my sleeves on @roombloomdesign projects, juggling life now solo means I don’t actually have the time to be the one renovating everything myself 🙃

Especially if I want to make any joy-way on the home front 🌴 thus I’m choosing collaboration with those who respect the history of Midcentury modern design as much as I do.

Together with my keen eye for overlooked spaces, my carpenter built storage in space’s currently underutilized that replicated the original 1962 cabinetry of the Mayflower Maven, while also working around those quirky old window cranks so future blackout shades will fit like a dream upon installation.

Now with these woodworking projects complete, I can shift my focus to the part that truly lights me up from within [last slide please] BRINGING THE COLOR into this 1962 interior! 🌈🏡 #carpenterapprecationpost taken in Palm Springs, California by @roombloomdesign

STRING LIGHTS MAGIC 🐾 Gave Cash’s yard a little glow up with these white-corded string lights 💡 spotted during one of my strolls through my home away from home, The @homedepot 🧡 this design DIY took a few tools, a bunch of zip ties, and more trips up and down the ladder than I can count!

I made sure every strand hung just right, and bit by bit, a self-sponsored project turned into a small act of healing. I can take care of myself 🫂 and now, thanks to this little labor of love, my favorite guy can chase tennis balls any time of day [or night] right here in Palm Springs. 🌴 #cashsyard #dogmomlove #healingoutloud #outdoorstringlights #homedepot #notsponsored #roombloomdesign #ididthat taken in Palm Springs, California by @roombloomdesign

YELLOW THERE! 💛 Finding a mailbox that fit seamlessly with my yard’s fence design was crucial to me with this renovation project. I scoured the internet and found one the exact same size as the blocks! WINNING 🤩 and its installation was a breeze - pun intended! 😉 #cashsyard #palmspringsstyle #adoornhome taken in Palm Springs, California by @roombloomdesign

🎉 THE BIZ GOT A VAN! 🎉

That’s right, color loves = please excuse me while I interrupt this dumpster fire world with some WONDERFUL small business news!

After almost ten years as a designpreneur, this color-loving weirdo finally got herself some wheels for her creative endeavors 🎨

Yeppers, no more having to price out U-Hauls in my bids or having to turn down an upholstery job because I cannot work on site.

I mean of course she needs some work 👩🏻‍🔧 as you know your girl loves a good project 😉🙌🏻🌈🎨 but either way this van is ⬇️

🚐 MAKING MY DREAMS COME TRUE! 🚐
