2016 = BANGS & BRAVERY 🌈 New marriage. New house. New courage. Imagining a career beyond furniture upholstery. Unbothered. Unafraid. ME before life got loud. The year I booked “The Pink Lady” modeling gig 🩷 embodying the @lavalenciahotel nickname as a nine-decade persona. Also, happens to be the same year I expanded my dogmom heart to include a puppy named Cash. I was thee ultimate YAS woman. All instinct. All light. GOODNESS 🫂 how I wish I could have kept her safe and free . . .

SEPTEMBER/THE OTHER JANUARY.

Something about that month just resets me ❤️‍🔥 the light, the rhythm, the quiet motivation in the air. New goals. Fetch hue palettes. A fresh mindset.

September also marked two years at the creative agency; 731 days of growth, wild ideas, learning curves, and color-filled storytelling with some of the most inspiring humans.

A photo dump from a month that reminded me: it’s never too late to begin again but it’s always worth celebrating how far you’ve come.

Oh, how I adore the clarity of Fall.

LEARNING TO ACCEPT HELP has been its own kind of project, color loves.

While I’m usually the one rolling up my sleeves on @roombloomdesign projects, juggling life now solo means I don’t actually have the time to be the one renovating everything myself 🙃

Especially if I want to make any joy-way on the home front 🌴 thus I’m choosing collaboration with those who respect the history of Midcentury modern design as much as I do.

Together with my keen eye for overlooked spaces, my carpenter built storage in space’s currently underutilized that replicated the original 1962 cabinetry of the Mayflower Maven, while also working around those quirky old window cranks so future blackout shades will fit like a dream upon installation.

Now with these woodworking projects complete, I can shift my focus to the part that truly lights me up from within [last slide please] BRINGING THE COLOR into this 1962 interior! 🌈🏡 #carpenterapprecationpost

JUNE was unexpectedly healing AF ❤️‍🩹 with a big energetic dollop of my creativity accepting the trauma; allowing me to be a bit more free again . . .

Peacocking my wardrobe.
Picking out paint hues.
Hanging with friends.
Singing at the top of my lungs.
Finding a new therapist.
Saying yes to extracurriculars.
Dreaming up my bedroom.
Creating clearer boundaries.
Moving my body.
Loving Cash 🐾
Wondering “what if” again.

SO MUCH to smile about, color loves = this life on my own 🫶🏻 and I’m so f*cking proud of the colors I’M painting it! 🎨✨ #junedump #healingoutloud #widowhood #chapterthree #maincharacterenergy #callmepicasso

MAY GRAY. This year had been unfolding with such clarity ❤️‍🩹 steady momentum, deeper healing, real joy sneaking back in. But then May came with a shift I didn’t expect. A hit to the heart that threw things off course a bit.

It’s wild how quickly something can shake you, even when you thought your footing was on solid ground.

I’ve been sitting with it though. Letting it sting. Letting it cry. Letting it teach.

Staying soft in a world that gives you every reason to shut down 🫂 that’s the real work, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come in my reparenting journey, even if this chapter still hurts.

Here’s to being open to possibilities. To not turning cold. To trusting the process, even when it leaves you carrying what was never acknowledged and waiting for answers that may never come.

For now, I’ll keep my head down, my heart guarded, and my focus on what’s best for me and this third chapter 🥹

FAUX GRASS, REAL JOY 🌱 Okay, color loves = the latest upgrade in Cash’s Yard might just be my favorite yet: we’ve gone GREEN with brand new faux grass! This next phase was all about function and flair 🐶💨 I wanted a space where Cash could romp freely without bringing half the desert inside.

After researching the fluff out of options, I chose a soft, pet-friendly turf that looks lush and feels great underfoot (or paw). Not only is it low-maintenance and water-wise, it’s also added such a vibrant burst of color to the yard 💚 it’s giving Palm Springs meets puppy paradise!

No more muddy paws, no more dusty floors, just pure outdoor ease. Honestly? Game-changer. Would love to hear what you think of this latest transformation — drop your thoughts in the comments! 🐾 #cashsyard #roombloomdesign #makinghome #exteriorglowup #palmspringslifestyle #dogfriendlydesign

Remember that gal who couldn’t get enough of color? 🎨

Well, color loves - I’ve been feeling that familiar urge to dive headfirst into my polychromatic magic again ❤️‍🔥 almost like this action figure finally breaking free from its packaging after being contained for too long.

As I’m gently stepping back into the spectrum, I am curious though = what colorful content have you missed most? Spill the hues! 🌈

The Palm Springs “season” has kept my calendar jam-packed but I didn’t let the madness of March get me down. From covering client events to my own creative adventures, I embraced the chaos and managed to capture some glimmers of HaPpY in between! ❤️‍🔥 #March2025 #healingoutloud #mypalmspringslife #embraceyourweird

CASH’S YARD 🐾🎾 My 1962 mobile home reno is officially underway, color loves, and I’m eager to share that progress with you! Project number one? Creating the ultimate yard situation for Cash and me 🌴 this secluded corner lot was a HUGE selling point with the Mayflower Maven.
