Some Memories return to us in the most beautiful ways.
A few came back with the saree. 🩷
Growing up in Andhra, I remember seeing my mom and friends’ mom wear Venkatgiri sarees almost like a second skin light, graceful and effortlessly elegant, starch intact.🩷
Today is my day
Venkatagiri, from the town of Venkatagiri in Andhra Pradesh, is celebrated for its fine, lightweight weaves, delicate Jamdani motifs and the beautiful zari work that gives these sarees their quiet glow. Traditionally woven in cotton and silk, the sarees are known for their airy drape and intricate motifs floral, geometric and nature-inspired woven into the fabric with such finesse.
And perhaps that is what makes them so special to me…
they don’t shout for attention; they simply have it. ✨
A little shimmer of zari,Zaroori hai bhai 😉✨💫💛 and a whole lot of memories woven into six yards. 🩷

A little Pink, with a little drama. 🩷❤️🧡

Life in all its colours to soft beginnings, bold choices, beautiful surprises, warm Octobers, and just the right amount of drama. ❤️🩷🧡💚

Our life is a little like this saree too…a delicate balance of soft moments and bold adventures, quiet days and unexpected colours.
We don’t always get to choose the pattern, but we get to decide how beautifully we carry it. 🩷❤️🧡💚

There are Kanjivarams that announce themselves with grandeur, and then there are those that simply have your heart. ❤️

This beautiful Veldhari Kanjivaram caught mine with its delicate blush-pink body, fine linear pattern, fiery rust-orange borders and that gorgeous striped pallu, bringing together shades of red, orange, maroon and the tiniest hint of green.

I love how the colours play against each other..soft yet strong, traditional yet a little unexpected.

A little pink, a little red, a little orange, a touch of green…
nothing less than a rainbow of colours, just like life itself. 🌈
And Always with a little bit of Drama ✨💫🧿

Peaches & Pink 🩷🧡🩷
I’ve always had a special fondness for Chanderi sarees.
Perhaps it comes from watching my Dadi and Mom wear them so effortlessly, always paired with the most beautiful blouses❤️❤️
There was such an understated elegance in those sarees delicate, graceful and timeless. ❤️

Back then, Chanderi was largely known through Katan silks and silk-cottons. Pure silk Chanderis were rare and traditionally associated with royalty and a more privileged clientele. It is only in the past few years that we have begun to rediscover, understand and truly appreciate these exquisite silks and their beautiful revival.
Behind every beautiful Chanderi is a weaver carrying generations of knowledge understanding the yarn, the weave, the motifs and the delicate balance that makes Chanderi so special. And sadly, the incredible skill and countless hours of craftsmanship can sometimes remain invisible behind the finished saree.
This is something I wish to people understand ,doing it in my own little way. ❤️
I hope to not just showcase beautiful sarees, but also celebrate the weave, the weaver and the story behind it. Because when we understand what we are wearing, we begin to value it differently.

And perhaps that is why wearing these Chanderi feels even more special a beautiful connection between the sarees I grew up seeing, the traditions I cherish, and the stories I hope to carry forward. 🪷🩷🧡

A gorgeous Cambodian Ikat silk in the most delicious chocolate brown, with flashes of orange layer upon layer, almost like a decadent chocolate cake sprinkled with little flakes of orange. 🍫🧡

Bought from a very dear friend, which makes this beauty even more special. ❤️

And now, another Ikat breathes some fresh air ! 🌬️✨✨✨
Because honestly, Ikat love has no boundaries and every Wednesday deserves a little more weave magic.

Yesterday was Roopali Day @ropaligoradia 😍😍😍
Had a fabulous time with her & our beautiful Divas over lunch . The venue was truly picturesque with loads of natural light .
Draped this gorgeous Chanderi , curated by the bday girl @roopaligoradia .
This peach tissue sona roopa pattu silk is truly a delight to drape . Loved the gold & silver borders & the green & orange floral motifs adorning the body . Thanx so much Roops for this curation ,absolutely loved the saree.
Paired with a dark green benarasi brocade blouse stitched by Sanjay Master @jaiambetailor & green beads jewellery .

I spent the day surrounded by everything that makes life feel special… A beautiful ambience, delicious food, endless conversations, laughter that came so easily, and the wonderful company of friends who make ordinary moments feel extraordinary.
Another year older, another year wiser…
And a little more grateful for the simple joys that make life so beautiful. ❤️
Here’s to friendship, laughter, good food, beautiful sarees, happy hearts and memories made along the way. 🥂✨

A special saree for a special occasion! When it’s the Chanderi queen’s birthday, I had to drape this exquisite silk Chanderi sourced by her ! Thank you @roopaligoradia for this gorgeous beauty! I fell for the colour and the motifs at first sight . A mix and match brocade blouse and set for an afternoon of bonhomie and laughter 💚♥️

Wearing a Benarasi in the most gorgeous shot colours of pink and mustard for a Satyanarayan Pooja ✨💫🙏
There is something timelessly enchanting about a Benarasi. ❤️
Born from the rich weaving traditions of Varanasi, these sarees have a magic of their own … luxurious silk, luminous zari and intricate motifs that seem to glow with every movement.

What makes this saree particularly special to me is the beautiful border detailing... In the body , the border comes alive with three strikingly large paisleys, beautifully highlighted in the last picture.
They add such a lovely touch of drama and character to the weave. ✨

Benarasi rooted in tradition. And these vibrant pink and mustard hues make this one feel especially festive almost like sunshine and flowers woven into silk. 💗💛
A saree that doesn’t merely dress you for a celebration…
it becomes part of the celebration itself. 🩷💛❤️✨

A mustard and red Kanjivaram for a day of Ganpati pandal hopping ❤️✨
Because Bappa definitely deserves a saree that makes a little statement! 💛❤️💛

Yesterday, Suja and I set out for Darshan and pandal hopping in South Mumbai. We thought we could cover most of the pandals in and around Parel … Ganesh Galli, Parel Cha Raja, Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani and a few more greedy people I tell you 😅😍❤️

And the saree had to be just as festive as the day a gorgeous mustard-yellow and red Kanjivaram, woven with Chakram and Yali buttas across the body, and the sweetest little Diya motifs lighting up the border. 🪔✨

But the Pallu! ❤️ That’s where this saree truly comes alive magnificent horses, Chakrams and Yalis, woven together in a beautiful, dramatic composition. A saree with so much character… absolutely worth the pandal hopping! 😍❤️

What an amazing experience it was running through the bustling streets, navigating the crowds, catching glimpses of Bappa, feeling that incredible Ganpati energy. It honestly transported me back to being a child again! 🥹❤️

We’ve consciously decided that this is going to be our little Ganpati tradition every year henceforth! 🤩🙏

There is something so magical about Mumbai during Ganpati … the colours, the devotion, the madness, the music and the sheer joy everywhere you turn. ✨

Suja was all enthu to go to a few more pandals, but my battery went into minus … all except Suja mode! 😂❤️
I really wish my people battery lasted a little longer! 😅
Next year, I’ll charge it a little more… promise! 🔋😂✨

Countless pandals, a lot of Bappa’s blessings, a beautiful saree, a dear friend the best company and a heart full of memories.
what more could I ask for? 🙏❤️✨

A beautiful Silk Ikkat with Bandhej in a rich Mehendi Green and vibrant Red a combination that feels so festive, traditional and yet effortlessly elegant.
For Ganpati Darshan, I couldn’t have chosen a more joyful combination.

Bappa Morya! 🙏❤️✨

What I particularly love about this saree is the precision of the Bandhej.
Those tiny white dots (RaiDana )are not randomly placed; they come together in carefully created stars ✨ and diamond ♦️ patterns in between , giving the green body such a beautiful rhythm.

The sheer intricacy of creating these minute dyed dots makes Bandhej one of those textile arts where patience, skill and precision are everything.
Clearly the most unique one in my wardrobe
And then comes the beauty of the red Ikkat sections adding structure and drama to the softness of the Bandhej.

Two beautiful Indian textile traditions, coming together on one saree Bandhej through dyeing and Ikkat through weaving. ❤️💚
