Hi, I’m Caitlin 👋
‌
Some of you have been here since the early days of Inner Peace Wellness Co, and some of you are brand new — so I wanted to re-introduce myself and share where I’m at now.
‌
I’m a Registered Nurse, and I found my way into integrative/ holistic wellness because I was facing my own health challenges and being blown off by providers, and I was so burned out, disillusioned, and deeply uncomfortable with what I was seeing in conventional healthcare. I nearly quit nursing all together.
‌
That’s what led me into energy healing, functional labs, nervous system work, minerals, hormones, and whole-person healing — and eventually to building Inner Peace Wellness Co.
‌
Fast forward… after some growth and expansion (and yes, some setbacks), I’m stepping into 2026 with a fire under me to return to the things that bring me the most joy and passion.
‌

‌
My focus moving forward is the work I love most:
• Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis
• Nervous system support
• Functional & integrative coaching
• Energy work and Reiki
• Helping people connect the dots between their labs, their lifestyle, and how they actually feel
‌
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all healing. I believe in listening to the body, understanding the data, and supporting the whole person — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
‌
I’m human first. I don’t know everything. I struggle too.
But the beauty of this work is connection — showing up, being real, and supporting people exactly where they are on their own journey.
‌
If you’re here because you want to understand your body better, feel better in your skin, and stop being told everything is “fine” when it clearly isn’t — you’re in the right place.
‌
I’m really glad you’re here 💜 taken in Asheville, North Carolina by @rootandrestorewellnessco

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis 101 🌿✂️

The boys got their HTMA samples cut, so here's a peek at the whole process!

**Prep matters** for an accurate sample:
✔️ Wash hair, then cut 6–24 hours later
✔️ Skip extra products, and avoid zinc or selenium dandruff shampoos
✔️ Dyed or treated hair can affect results
✔️ Let me know if you're on city water or use a water softener

**Collecting is simple:**
✔️ Snip from 3–4 spots at the base of the skull, close to the scalp, where the newest growth is
✔️ Trim to ¾–1 inch
✔️ You need about a heaping teaspoon of hair

**Then:**
✔️ The sample and order form get mailed to the lab
✔️ Results come back in about 2 weeks
✔️ While you wait, you'll complete a comprehensive intake

**And here's what makes it different:** this isn't just run a test, get a supplement list. I map out what you're experiencing, your lifestyle, your wellness goals, and the patterns on your test. Then we meet and build YOUR plan together, based on what your results prioritize and the goals we set. It's a roadmap designed to support real, lasting change.

Curious what your minerals are saying, or have questions? Send me a DM 💛

Minerals don’t work alone. And that’s the part we don’t talk about enough.

I want to talk about this!

Too often, we approach health through a siloed lens. One symptom, one nutrient, one supplement, one solution.

We see this in conventional medicine, AND unfortunately, it seems to be carrying over into functional medicine, too.

But here’s what I love about mineral science…

Minerals are ALWAYS in relationship.

Think of them like a family sitting around the dinner table. It’s not just about who’s there, but how everyone interacts. And sometimes, there are some strained relationships. 😬

Let’s say you’ve had an HTMA before and were told your magnesium was low, so you needed more magnesium.

But did anyone ask about calcium? Your overall mineral patterns? Your diet, digestion, blood sugar regulation, sleep, or stress?

Because calcium and magnesium work together in nerve and muscle function.

Sodium and potassium work together to support cellular communication.

And too much supplemental zinc can actually interfere with copper absorption.

See where I’m going with this?

We have to stop looking at minerals as isolated numbers.

And here’s the even BIGGER piece…

We have to look at YOU.

Your symptoms. Your stress. Your sleep. Your digestion. Your nutrition. Your lifestyle.

WHY?

Because your body doesn’t operate in isolation either.

This is why I look at HTMA as one piece of a much bigger puzzle, not a standalone test or simply a list of supplements to take.

It’s about understanding patterns, asking better questions, and supporting the WHOLE person.

We can’t just chase numbers. We have to understand the bigger picture.

And that’s really the heart of what I do. 💗

Ready to dive a little deeper into your own mineral patterns and overall wellness?

I keep coming back to this.

We can talk about supplements, killing parasites, hormones, peptides, biohacking and all the things — and I LOVE learning about all of it. And yes, they have a place.

But sometimes health looks a whole lot less complicated…

Morning light.
Nourishing food.
Minerals.
Movement.
Sleep.
Time outside.
A nervous system that can sound the alarm when needed — and return to calm when the threat has passed.
Safe relationships.
Community.
Purpose.
Space to actually breathe and rest.

We are biological beings that thrive in relationship with the natural rhythms of the world around us.

It’s pretty hard to biohack that. 🤪

Addressing the root doesn’t always mean you need a restrictive diet, HRT, a parasite cleanse or a cabinet full of supplements (and I say this as someone who has spent years trying to outsource my health to all of these things!).

Sometimes it means returning to what is natural and getting really honest about the foundations we keep trying to skip over.

So before you buy that next supplement you saw in a Facebook ad promising to fix all the things… ask yourself where the gaps are in your foundations first. 🍄🌳🌻🌊☀️ by @rootandrestorewellnessco

I I can’t believe it’s already mid-July. This summer is flying by.

One of my goals at the start of the season was to get out for a forest walk every day. We haven’t quite made it every day, but I’m so proud of us for making time to get outside—rain or shine.

Watching these boys build a deeper connection with nature and actually be excited to go into the forest, has been beautiful to experience . 🌿🌳🍄🦌🫎

“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” — John Muir

May your roots grow deep and your spirit stay wild. 💗

When the boys got out of school, I made a commitment to prioritize a forest walk daily with them.

At first, they weren’t exactly thrilled about it. 😂 There were plenty of complaints, questions about where we were going, and requests to stay home and watch tv 🙃🙃

But after a few weeks, something has shifted.

Now they’re excited to explore, climb on trees, jog (what?!), and be free. And jagger has a never ending collection of rocks

I’ve always loved being in the forest, and now these experiences feel much more calming and grounding .

We still have a lot of foundational things we’re working on to support our nervous systems and overall health, but these daily walks have been a really meaningful place to start.

Fresh air.
Movement.
Connection.
A little less rushing.

Excited to be on this journey toward deeper healing + connection as a family 💗 by @rootandrestorewellnessco

I really had no idea what slowing down was for the past 4 years...

I feel like I missed so many moments 😭 not being fully present , always rushing, not always prioritizing my family.

Lake Junaluska it's such a special spot and the BRP never disappoints for forest walks

Grateful I get the opportunity to slow down and enjoy life with these boys so much more 💗💗💗 by @rootandrestorewellnessco

It was a rocky start to a weekend away (if you have a neurodivergent kiddo u know how traveling can be!) but this cute Airbnb with its own waterfall 🙊✨💗, lots of outdoor time, soaks in the jacuzzi, and a day on the lake really gave us a chance to just BE

If you haven't been to Fontana Lake, it's truly amazing and worth the trip!

Something shifted for me this year.

After years of hustle, pushing, burnout, and constantly operating in survival mode… I realized healing isn’t just about “doing more.”

It’s about restoring what stress depleted.

Learning how to support the nervous system.
Learning how to nourish the body.
Learning how to slow down enough to actually hear what your body has been asking for.

This journey has brought me back to:
🌿 minerals
🌿 nervous system support
🌿 grounding practices
🌿 whole foods + nourishment
🌿 nature
🌿 deeper healing

And honestly?
Back to myself.

Root + Restore is evolving into a space where I’ll be sharing more education, more real life, and more of what’s actually helping me and my family heal in sustainable ways.

Less hustle.
More nourishment.
More regulation ✨ by @rootandrestorewellnessco

If you love crystals like me, keep an eye out

If you know people who love crystals like me 😆
tag them and let them know to keep an eye out

Will be fun to find a few of my gems some new homes
