My Master Thesis for the MA Contemporary Circus at SKH Stockholm:
▶︎ THE ART OF QUITTING ◀︎ … is an experience-based research project exploring the nature of stopping (…) and its potentiality as a creative practice through storytelling and critical analysis

After the past weeks of writing-writing-writing and the past 2 years getting a little lost between Berlin, Zoom and Stockholm, this is (almost) done. It’s been quite a ride and I honestly didn’t always think I would make it until here, but I am grateful for new encounters, and some recovered / re-discovered consciousness for processes and perspectives.
Thank you for making this look good @_refines and for inspiring the painting project @look_at_brooke.
And thank you for guiding the journey @anasanchezcolberg

Snapshot collection of the past 5 weeks. Thankyou @abigailyeates, @pcockle and @anystagecreative for this great time of rehearsing in at the beautiful @centredecreationdordogne in France and an exciting time of installation and cast change on board of the MSC World America! Its been special to be part of this 🙏!
And super inspiring to work with so many wonderful performers & creative & production colleagues - watching acts and shows come to life - while sailing the oceans of the world 🚢

It’s almost time to go home, so see you in good (c)old Berlin 🏴‍☠️

Snapshot collection of the past month on board of MS Relax - working with lovely colleagues, a wonderful cast, catching moments of nature, minutes of training, opportunities for yoga and searching for the best cinnamon rolls of Norway and making a little film.
Oups, only 3 weeks to go!

Spending the summer in Norway surely means learning to dance in the rain.

It was lovely to help out the wonderful video project of @kaktus.pixels !
Thankyou for filming my little rain-dance-impro, @beckonsti
It was good to be creative and breathe some fresh air!

Reflection Moment
The last time I was in this city, I was researching „The Art of Quitting“ (Circus) at the Stockholm University of the Arts.

For the past years i have been searching for what comes after climbing ropes and balancing on hands. And just when i realized that circus will probably always be part of my life and i will always be an artist - it suddenly feels like Circus is quitting me.

So here I am - enjoying a breath of Deja Vu - wondering which future path to trust.

I am happy to be back in my favourite office! Grateful for fantastic artists and a wonderful team to work with!!!

After a successful day of rehearsals there was even time for my one obligatory climb! I am excited to see that my ankle is happy about me hanging from it again, and that my body remembers climbing after another long break from training!

Sharing favourite moments.
Having time (while healing my ankle) I’m going through memories.
I realize once again how - for me - it’s so much about intention, connection, truth and love - while, of course, we do all these impressive things as well.

💎 Taking a moment to reflect on the journey of the past 14 months - what a ride it’s been.
🙏 Forever grateful for getting up after we fall, amazed about the amounts of times in our lives that we can learn to walk again!
🎶 Enjoying the silence
