Plot twist: y’all nominated the founders too. 🥹❤️

Not only was Millennium Latino Project nominated and recognized as Latino Change Agents for The City of Lynn, but @stephanie.herrerarios and Edwin @rosales.etc were also nominated individually by members of our community.

Our individual recognition didn’t make it into the program, so consider this a reminder of who we are and what we bring to the community.

The certificate isn’t the prize. Finding out that the people you serve see you, is the prize. Someone in our community actually sat down and wrote about why they believe in the work we’re doing. We haven’t even gotten to hear or read what you said yet! 😭

Until then:

Hi. We’re Stephanie & Edwin.
First-generation Latinos.
Founders of MLP.
Professional table-shakers when necessary. 😅

We’re fortunate to sometimes have access to tables and spaces that not everyone in our community is invited into.

That’s why we listen.

We want to hear your experiences, your ideas, what’s working and what’s missing so when we enter those spaces, we’re bringing perspectives beyond our own into the conversation.

Having a seat means something when you remember the people who weren’t given one.

So if you see us around Lynn, talk to us.

And to whoever nominated MLP, Stephanie and Edwin: We see you seeing us.

Thank you.
