After a lot of thinking, designing, drawing and refining, I'm excited to finally share my final project with LCGD.

My concept was centred around fertility, not simply as growth, but as an idea of abundance, renewal, potential and the conditions that allow life to flourish.

Fertility is also a concept that feels very close to me personally, which made exploring it through landscape design especially meaningful. It became woven throughout the entire project, influencing the way spaces connect, how the garden is experienced, and the planting that will eventually bring it all to life.

This project has challenged me creatively and pushed me to think more deeply about what a garden can represent, and I'm really proud to finally share where it has landed.

There are still a few details to work through, including the planting plan and construction detailing, but we're nearly there.

Proud to finally share the result. by @rossmalloch

Got to hear Tim Pilgrim @t.p_gardens break down his naturalistic gardens tonight, walking us through how they shift and hold interest across the seasons. Seeing the examples was great, but trying to pull off that seasonal rhythm in our climate is a hard slog, the heat and humidity means plants either take off, or tap out.
Still, it was the type of talk that makes you want to keep pushing and trial a few new plants and see which ones refuse to quit!
