My ONLINE SHOP is OPEN🥳🍾♥️
How quickly did this g(r)o(w)?!!
Just só grateful to have worked with amazing artists, I have only had kind and supportive clients and my online store is finally up and running🙌
and I even have my own GALLERY section where you can support and buy framed South African artists work (thanks to @dewald__13 who just made a daunting task of creating a website só simple)

It has only been 20months since that first show I did at @kamersmakers in 2021, when I was challenged to do what I can with what I already have... (See last picture)

I can't wait to see what still grows from these roots. 🌱

A little piece of my world in Klein Wêreld.

My work is currently on display as part of the Klein Wêreld exhibition at the Stellenbosch Town Hall during the Stellenbosch Woordfees, from 3–11 October.

With thousands of visitors moving through the festival and an incredible response to the exhibition so far, it’s an honour to have my work included among such a wonderful selection of artists.

If you’re at @woordfees this week, pop into the Stellenbosch Town Hall and take a little time to explore Klein Wêreld.

The lovely Danelle from @roundandround_frames asked if I could create something similar to my embroidery doodles for her beautiful frames… a lekker challenge!

And so, the ‘textile scrabbles’ came to be.
Each one is made from different fabrics and paired with a note - a little nudge to see things differently or a quirky acknowledgment of how things are.

I love making work that makes people a smile, but also leaves something behind. A feeling. A reminder.
- you’re human. slow down. stay soft. breathe. -

I’m thankful that these works, together with their sister embroidery doodles, have become little points of connection. It warms my heart to see people pause, feel seen, laugh, and say, “Ah, I needed to see this today!”

Perhaps that’s what I love most about art: that something I make in my own little corner of the world can find its way into someone else’s and mean something to them.

These works are all for sale at @kamersmakers happening in Pretoria this weekend!
