Hi! I’m Rou..If you’re new here—welcome! And if you’ve been around for a while, let me reintroduce myself.

I’m Rou, a mom of 3 and a professional photographer in North Jersey/NYC since 2014. Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember-what started as a creative outlet turned into a career that has taken me places I never expected. I’ve been published in print magazines worldwide and in several online publications, but at the core of it all, what truly drives me is capturing authentic moments, artistically.

Becoming a parent is one of the most meaningful, life-changing experiences, and I believe it deserves to be documented—not just in perfectly posed smiles, but in the raw, unscripted, beautifully chaotic moments that make up your story.

What lights my soul on fire is the unposed, the unfiltered, the images that make you feel. I want to give you photos that take you back, that hug your heart, that hold meaning beyond just a frame-worthy shot.

I still capture the classics because I know how important those are as well and I know many clients still heavily value the shot where everyone is smiling. I like to think of myself as a bit of a hybrid because you definitely get the best of both worlds with me. I will absolutely include some traditionally posed smiling shots in addition to a great variety of authentic candid story telling moments.

I am forever evolving and growing as an artist, constantly reinforcing my passion for artistically capturing moments worth remembering. I will never stop learning, growing, and pushing myself to create work that truly serves my clients in the best way possible.

Your kids are full of personality ! Don’t be afraid to let them show it during your family shoot. Their personalities are what makes the photos memorable. Everyone look at the camera moments are nice and all but those aren’t the photos that make you feel something when you look back at them. Have fun during your shoot :) by @roushoots

We always have fun during our family shoots! And there are soooo many moments that are worth capturing. Some families opt for the video add on, and I love when they do. Creating these little film clips is so fun and so special to look back on

As your kids get older, family photos become even more precious.

The schedules get busier. The teens get pickier about taking pictures (or being seen with you at all 😂). Getting everyone in the same place, at the same time, suddenly feels like an accomplishment in itself.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, you realize how quickly everything is changing.

The little kids who used to run into your arms are suddenly taller than you. The moments you used to live every day are becoming memories you wish you could hold onto a little longer.

Does anyone else feel like they’re running out of time????Not in a dramatic way, just in that quiet, bittersweet way that comes with watching your kids grow up.

I know we can’t slow it down, but we can make sure we have something to look back on. Photos of you together, exactly as you are right now, before this version of your family becomes another chapter you wish you could revisit. by @roushoots

There’s something really special about getting to witness a family just being a family.

The laughing, the little moments in between, the way everyone naturally falls into their own rhythm together. I get to experience it for a bit of time, and then I get to turn those moments into something you can keep.

And I think that’s one of the best parts of photographs… years from now, you can come across one and instantly feel something. A moment you might have forgotten, a version of your kids you didn’t realize you’d miss, a day that seemed ordinary at the time but somehow means everything later.

Getting to capture that for families is a pretty incredible gift.

Whenever someone has a baby, I always tell them to enjoy the best part of their lives.

There really is no comparable feeling to becoming a parent.

In the beginning, when it’s just you and baby against the world, nothing else really matters. You live in your own little bubble of love. You’re physically exhausted and completely drained, but somehow so drunk on joy at the same time.

You’re fascinated by them. In awe that you created this tiny little person. Your heart explodes in ways you didn’t even know were possible.

And all the things you used to stress over suddenly fade into the background because now, the only thing you care about is making this little life as beautiful and safe and happy as you possibly can.

It’s exhausting. It’s overwhelming. It’s messy.And it’s magic.
