Excited for the new year here at JumpDog Studios! 2025 was spent making improvements and additions to the studio and putting them to use. A new isolation booth, improved live room wiring and connectivity, and updated acoustic treatment have all improved the record making experience here. Thanks to all the artists who have made their record here this past year.

2026 is looking good! If you have a project you’d like to record or mix, get in touch!

Back in June I convinced a bunch of my friends and bandmates to spend a whole weekend at Full Belly farm in the Capay Valley recording a live session with the Wreath Room. It was 104 degrees outside so inside this flower shack was wayyyy worse and we went through a roll of paper towels wiping our foreheads and still looked real sweaty.

These are re-representations of songs already written and released but we worked hard to change them and give them the authenticity of a live performance done in an incredibly hot room.

huuuuuuge thanks to Hannah @farmerhands and her amazing flower operation @wreathroom for having us and taking us out to the river for dips and feeding us farm fresh produce.

It’s a big day! The new @natlefkoff new record “There You Are” is out today, produced, recorded and mixed by me. We spent the last couple years working on this one and we are so proud to have it out in the world. Nat’s songs and lyrics speak for themselves and I’m incredibly grateful for his continued trust in the creative process we have together. I have so much love for him and our friendship.

Special shout out to @__noooooah__ and Jackson Vanover for their playing all over this record. Go give “Momma” a spin if you want to hear what an absolute weapon Noah is on the guitar. Jackson was around for every iteration this record went through from its inception and his musicianship lent itself to so many of these songs no matter what instrument he was holding.

Also thankful to the string section, @natalie.hagwood on Cello, Obin Sturm and @siepeck on violin and their putting up with my arrangement on “Avalanche Lily” and @deadnettle.music for her haunting backing vocals on “worship”. Lastly to OG Nat Lefkoff band member @realshit_ty for the bass on “Soft Kid”.

And the biggest thanks of all to my wife Anna for being the ultimate supportive force behind this whole damn thing!

Hope you enjoy it! by @rowanmcguire

About 4 years ago I ( @rowanmcguire ) started building out JumpDog Studios as a place to work on records for myself and my friends. Since then, I’ve gone from running it part time, to now being lucky enough to have an ever growing list of friends and collaborators to have made it a full time operation.

I made the switch to full time earlier this year but figure it’s about time I give it a hard launch here on insta. I hope you’ll follow along for updates and behind the scenes content of the records being made here!

Now that the doors are wide open, if you need something tracked, produced, mixed, mastered or anything in between, DM the studio here and let’s talk!
