Ever gone through challenges and felt like you have been able to master them and your reaction, only to discover that the same type of challenge comes back again in a different guise, throwing you off track? 🎭 As if the universe is gently letting you know that actually there is still some work to do in that area.

At first this can feel so demoralizing, but it can be another opportunity for greater healing and self understanding. To get deeper into the wound, keeping going until light has been shone into every dark corner 🩸✨🖤 It could also be your sign that you aren’t meant to settle in your current situation.

Perhaps, like me, you may have at times felt like because you are spiritual/practicing yoga/ working in yoga/healing/coaching you have to be calm and have everything together? You aren’t supposed to have turmoil in your life, and should be able to master your emotions at all times as protector of your energy and inner peace 😇

Sometimes we aren’t ready or able to control a reaction, but it is there to tell us something. It is important to understand that how we react is just a reaction, and not the self. Noticing what is really going on and digging a little deeper to get to the heart of the matter 🌀 Which brings us back to the point, when you notice a recurring pattern of similar types of challenges, it is highlighting an area for personal development in your life!

How can we support this process?
- Journaling - writing down your feelings, allowing everything to come out, no matter how chaotic
- Being kind to yourself, practicing self forgiveness and allowing yourself to reset and start over
- Taking time for your practice- whether that’s an asana practice or another form of movement such as dance, calisthenics, running- whatever it is that helps you to move your body can help you to move your emotions too and feel less stuck!
- Spending time around people who raise your vibration, who support and encourage you to be the best version of yourself
- Meditation- asking for guidance and answers from your higher self

I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments 🤗✨🙏 by @rowanna8

“Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable” - Mary Oliver

I have this quote pinned on my bathroom mirror and it fills up my heart whenever when I read it 💖 = a reminder to stay optimistic and to be open to life’s possibilities ✨

I’m going through a big period of change right now and some of it feels a little scary so anchoring ⚓️ myself to this idea has really helped to pull me through some of the more challenging days of transformation.

When life is getting difficult, or we are caught up in the daily grind it can be easy to lose sight of the many possibilities open to us. This is a reminder to allow the magic 🪄 of life to unfold and to greet change not with fear but welcome it as a friend, as a necessary step on the pathway of development 🙏🏻

Avoiding pre judging situations, because things aren’t always as they seem, and paying attention to the mini miracles which unfold everyday can help us to be more present in the moment. Put yourself in an observer mode more often so that you can tune into your true nature and allow life to flow and unfold knowing that it’s all happening for your greater good 💫💕✨🌸💚

Thank you to @juliana.larochelle for your encouragement 🙏🏻

First born, daughter, ray of light, sunbeam that brightens up my world, thank you for choosing me to be your mummy! Thank you for being sweet, wise, gracing us with your lightness of being, intuitive, helpful, funny, at times a little goofy and a brilliant sportswoman 🌟

FOR THE LOVE OF ASHTANGA
Navasana

Very late this week after an eventful time of sickness, injury, someone special’s birthday and some very important appointments taking over …. Catching up a bit on Instagram messages now :)

One of my least favourite asanas from primary, but at the same time a good one for building up strength in the core and hip flexors so maybe it’s a love-hate relationship after all….

Really sluggish at the moment and struggle to lift up in between or just in general lift at all anywhere 😆

Have a look at @lottasebzdayoga @heidikayoga & @theyummyyogi pages for tips and more info on the posture and the challenge. And already tomorrow they will surely be posting Bhujapidasana…. ♥️

FOR THE LOVE OF ASHTANGA
Marichyasana C & D

Posting together because I skipped it last week.

Both asana are intense twists, and opening both hips and shoulders. Care should be taken with the knee when practicing D. An alternative is to tuck the foot under rather than in lotus.

These asana are both stimulating the abdominal organs, aiding digestion (like so many of these poses!).

When I am practicing D I like to feel that I pull the knees away from one another and try to open the chest more at the same time.

Catching the bind: I notice that this is different depending on the day, what I have eaten, how I slept, where I am in my monthly cycle… some days I can grab the wrist, others I’m struggling to link the fingers. If your fingers don’t meet you can use a towel or a strap.

Have a look at @lottasebzdayoga @heidikayoga & @theyummyyogi pages for tips and more info on the posture and the challenge.
