Last Thursday night I went to @thevegboxcafe to the beautiful @dr.ishani.rao 's (Ishani the Incredible) wonderful book launch for 'Choosing Compassion'. 📖
A vital read for all of us vegan activists to protect and heal ourselves & each other from burnout! Which has always been a big problem that doesn't seem to decrease in size or seriousness.
It's a 100% vegan book made by The Vegan Publisher. 💚

Very smoothly written and super comprehensive!
10/10 recommendation 🌠

Thank you to everyone who made this book happen!

For the 1st time in 4 years and over 20 tries (maybe only a dozen decent attempts, sometimes quit due to activism or disability & disease), I completed all 75 days of #75hard ! How can you tell if someone's a vegan?🤔 🙃
Don't worry, we will organise & gather in great numbers, set up a public stage, and shut down the West End traffic (only for a short time) ..
AND LOUDLY TELL YOU!
Again, and again, and again...

As long as it takes.
We well never give up the fight for animal + human rights.

Better late than never making this post..

We had good fun marching as a big parade for compassion, better ethics & morality, animal rights + human rights/justice (they are both deeply connected, and humans are a species of animal), and of course for a happier & greener world.

Veganism is Anarchism, and vice versa. It is vital and key in creating a just & sustainable world for all living beings, the animals, humans, and the environment, all free & safe from exploitation and violence for profit.

We can't be consistently anti-oppression without being vegan, and we can't be authentically compassionate vegans without caring for total liberation.

We need to learn to evolve our communication and tactics to bring about justice for all animals (including the human kind) 💚
That's what makes NARM so great and successful in uniting so many anti-speciesist groups together in the shared cause for justice!

It was my 2nd time stewarding for NARM this year, and the 1st time was in 2021. In 2022, I was in police bail, so I couldn't get so involved. In 2023, I became critically chronically ill, which got worse in 2024.
So it was good to step up again.

Yes, we vegans will be marching again next year! Come & join in. It's good wholesome fun 🌟💚

Trans rally April 19th 2025 in London. So many people there that Parliament square was no space was left! Then we all had a really good march around.
It was really heartening to see so many brave transgender people and their allies show up to say 'No!' To the UK Supreme Court ruling of the legal definition of woman.

Trans rights are human rights.
Everyone has the right to love free from discrimination and persecution.

F*ck transphobia. 🙂

Encountered this beautiful Heron perching on a pipe above the river Crane on a walk the other day. It's wonderful that we share our urban environment with such beautiful wildlife! 💚
To make this last, I think we need to recognise that these nonhuman animals are not our underlings, ornaments, or background features, but our neighbours.
They are here with us, sharing our immense world of infinite complexities of experiencing existence.

A few years ago, I listened to this poem by @mattzhaig in the lovely audio book 'The Midnight Library', so I had to practise my calligraphy skills and write it down! Last week, I wrote/copied it again to make it for a good friend as a birthday gift.
1st time making a post on my page, so I'm glad I waited to share something so creatively inspired!

Fully recommend Matt Haig's books to everyone, especially if you need some literary support for our mental health 💚 📚🫂 we are never alone in our struggles.
