In nature, some seeds, lie dormant in anticipation of the season most conducive to their growth. This is true of art as well. - Rick Rubin

REPS 002 is up now. 🔗 in bio.

Not every gig goes the way you planned.

I built this set for an opening slot in LA in 2024. The door was a mess, the timing was off, people were still outside, and the whole night ended up being pretty disappointing.

But I still showed up on time. I still came prepared. I still played the set.

Because you can’t control every part of an event, but you can control how you show up.

So I brought the set back, reworked it, and finally recorded it properly.

DJs and creatives, what’s the most prepared you’ve ever been for something that completely fell apart?

REPS 001 🎧

Before the gig, there are always reps.

For this one, I was practicing for my opening set at Everyday People, figuring out how to set the tone, build the room, and leave somewhere for the next DJ to go.

The full REPS 001 set is live on YouTube now. Come hear what I actually chose to play.

I left No Country for Mothers thinking a lot about what we ask of mothers in this country, and how little support we give them in return.

Thank you @xojsmn and @melaniefiona for hosting this screening and creating space for this conversation.

Directed by @raeshem
featuring activist @reshmasaujani and the work of @momsfirstus

This isn’t just a mothers’ issue. It affects families, partners, children, workplaces, and all of us.

If you can, host a screening. Bring your friends. Bring the men in your life. Watch it. Talk about it. Share it.

OPENING HOURS 002 ☕️ is now live!

Curated to ease your nervous system.

This one moves through soulful R&B, Afro-house, amapiano, jazzier grooves and familiar voices flipped into something a little different - Cleo Sol, SAULT, Nina Simone, Beyoncé, Maxwell, Jhené Aiko, Frank Ocean and more.

Warm enough to wake you up. Soft enough to let your brain be quiet for a second. Just good music for the soul.

Huge thank you to @yellowsun.coffee for having me. 🤎 If you’re in Brooklyn, go grab a cup, amazing staff, beautiful space, an absolute vibe.

Full Opening Hours 002 set is now on YouTube + SoundCloud.
