🦋✨ A little moment from my Botanist’s Moth workshop at @royalneedlework this weekend.

I had such a lovely day stitching with my students, and there was such a beautiful, calm energy in the room.

For me, embroidery is so much more than creating something beautiful. It’s a chance to slow down, switch off from the outside world and find a little escape through stitch. 🪡

This workshop is a lovely introduction to mixed-media embroidery, bringing together a little goldwork, delicate threadwork and beading to create this beautiful, botanically inspired moth. A piece to treasure, which could be mounted and framed when complete. 🦋

Just a little thought for the future…

If you’d love to spend a day creating this beautiful design and enjoy some mindful making, comment “LET’S GO” below! 💛

I’d love to know if you’d like to see this workshop return to @royalneedlework.

🗻🐸Where the Frog Dreams is back! 🐸🗻

If you missed the opportunity to book onto this workshop last year @royalneedlework, now is your chance! ✨

This 5-day course will guide you through the process of creating a mixed-media embroidered landscape. We’ll begin with framing up and transferring the design, before learning how to paint a soft, misty mountain scene on silk.

You’ll combine painting and embroidery to add depth and texture, bringing the landscape to life with delicate stitched details, including a little frog. 🪡

The course will also introduce you to traditional tambour embroidery, teaching the rhythmic hook technique used in couture embellishment.

Whether you love nature inspired embroidery or simply want to try something new, this workshop is an opportunity to experiment with the beautiful combination of paint and stitch.

🌿 For more information and to book your spot, find the link in my bio!

If you have any questions about the workshop, please leave a comment below or send me a message. I’m always happy to answer any questions you might have!

I hope to see you there! 💚
