Join me at Liberty London where I will be teaching my Harold's Hound Bayeux Tapestry kit. Designed for The British Museum on behalf of The Royal School of Needlework you will learn all the stitches that are on the tapestry using traditional crewel wool and fine linen fabric.

Harold's Hound is based on a scene near the start of the tapestry. The workshop will be a three hour session in which you will start all the stitches needed to complete the kit at home.

Tambour sample produced for @royalneedlework 🪡
The sample is part of their new courses! Book the course “Couture Florals in Tambour Beading” on their website and learn the amazing skills of tambour 🌷It is such a joyful technique!

The course is taught at Hampton Court Place by the skill full RSN staff.

The sample I created is owned by The Royal School of Needlework and was a collaboration with the RSN Education team 🫶🏻

🌷 About Fragile Threads 🌷

The Royal School of Needlework’s Fragile Threads project explores how embroidery can connect us with some of the most important issues facing our world today.

With a current focus on biodiversity and our relationship with the natural world, the project brings together embroidery, creativity and conservation to explore the beauty, complexity and fragility of our ecosystems.

As part of Fragile Threads, RSN has created a special collection of five Short Courses inspired by nature - including two online courses and three in-person courses at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Discover colour, texture and 3D embroidery techniques while taking inspiration from the extraordinary diversity of the natural world.

Fragile Threads is made possible with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
