EMERGE – New Asian Narratives is presented by Nathan Yong Design in Special Projects at Art Basel / Design Miami 2026, Miami Beach, from 1 to 6 December 2026.

EMERGE – New Asian Narratives is a group exhibition presented at Design Miami 2026, organised by Singapore-based designer Nathan Yong and supported by the DesignSingapore Council and Enterprise Singapore. Curated by Maria Cristina Didero, the presentation brings together eleven designers and studios from across Southeast Asia - Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia - each presenting new, limited-edition work conceived specifically for the exhibition.

Participating designers include Alvin Tjitrowirjo (Indonesia), Anon Pairot (Thailand), Apiwat Chitapanya (Thailand), Bryce Lim (Singapore), Emeline Ong and Bryan Yeo (Singapore), Grace Tan (Singapore), Hans Tan (Singapore), Ivan Ho (Singapore), Kaiyi Wong (Malaysia), Nathan Yong (Singapore) and Truong Quang Vinh (Vietnam).

The Limited Edition Gilt Disney x Formula 1 Car takes its place on the grid.

Handcrafted in pewter and finished in 24K gilt, the race car features Royal Selangor's signature hand-hammered textures, Mickey Mouse-inspired details, and hand-painted golden racing lines on its black composite resin base.

Limited to just 500 individually numbered pieces worldwide.
