Where Songs Come To Life 🎙️BMG | WCP | Universal | APM

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is the room our most-played song came together in.

This is @risedaily.co listening to the final mix of his song “lightwork”.

No big studio. No fancy setup. Tiny monitors on the floor of a wooden cabin, and a track I must have listened to a hundred times by that point, still trying to hear it the way a stranger would hear it for the first time.

Mixing and mastering can happen with as little equipment as I had at the time, and has driven so many to listen for some reason.

That track’s gone on to become one of our most listened to. Started right here. by @roymatz

It doesn’t happen every session, but when it does, you can feel it. The overthinking stops, and you’re just following the music.
Most of my job is getting us to that point: making the room easy, asking the right questions, and knowing when to stay out of the way once it starts.
This was last week. @jilajimusic and I already wrote the lyrics and just needed to add some vibe into this track, and this is what you’re seeing in this reel

Leave a food related emoji if you dig this one.

Today’s beat was made from sesame seeds, and i chopped it using…. Drum roll… a plugin called… “Sesame”. Love using new creative and crazy tools to get results i wouldn’t get otherwise. by @roymatz

Working with @roymatz was a real fun delight!! Sessions with him feel creatively unlimited and full of laughter and goofiness.

We created this absolute tune together during my solo Bali travels earlier this year and we can’t wait for you to hear it on Friday 💃🏻

Please go support independent music by pre-saving to not miss out on ‘Sweet Sweet Music’ ❤️‍🔥

I know there’s an artist within everyone of us. But for some people the inner artist wants to express and play a little more than others.
Perhaps you think of song ideas randomly, or you write lyrics to yourself, or you mumble melodies on the commute and in your work place.

That’s a pattern, and a gift that is worth exploring.

If that’s you, feel free to hit me up by @roymatz

Something big I’ve been sitting on.

A while back I got a message asking if I’d write music for Beast Games, @mrbeast ‘s crazy show. The request was in a style I had never made before.
Honestly, a little outside my comfort zone.
But those are exactly the opportunities you don’t say no to, so I got to work.

Fast forward a few months and I finally got to see the episode (in the vid my first time reacting to it live)… and not one, not two, but THREE of my tracks made the cut. Over 4 minutes of my music in a single 60-minute episode. 🤯

Here’s a little snippet of one of them

Producing a track can be somewhat of a healing process. it can bring up a lot of deep stuff and take people to places they didn’t know they would go
-
The courage it takes from any artist to come in and say “I want to go through the deepest saddest version of me and put it into music with you” is something I will never take for granted.

This is absolutely in line with what i am here to do by @roymatz

Sometimes what’s blocking artists is not lack of creativity and not low capabilities, but the need to actually have someone to help them navigate the maze of a music production.
This is complete different from writing a song and here you can see how

This took more than one year and definitely more than 10 versions to bring to where it is

Music production doesn’t move at the speed of content. Real work takes real time, and I’d rather take a year and get it right than rush something out and regret it. Believe me after releasing over 400 tracks, i’ve been there and done that

That’s how I work with artists — no shortcuts, no “good enough.” Just building until it’s actually done.

Super grateful for @diamantina.co.uk for trusting me with this badass of a track
