This weekend was a bittersweet end to the outdoor season as well as my time in U18. Though I didn’t complete as well as I expected, after elimination rounds I ended up in 4th. Rain delays, flight delays, 6:30 line times, airport fist fights, and EXTREME sleep deprivation pretty much sums up this insane weekend. I truly know the Lord was with me on this one because otherwise I may not have survived lol. Congrats to @chloe_nelsen_archery on gold and @follinarchery on bronze! Best weekend ever. I took gold in both qualifications and eliminations for the weekend, plus the bronze in teams was pretty cool. I’m beyond grateful for the amazing opportunities I’ve been given through this sport and the friendships that I’ve made along the way. Through unbearable sunburns and crazy wind we made it through. Had so much fun at the southern section of Indoor Nationals and JOAD Indoor Nationals last weekend! Huge thanks to my bestie @sawyersullivan_ for giving me some really helpful advice and for putting up with mine and Cole’s nonsense all weekend. Had an absolute blast at JOAD Outdoor Nationals this year! Through sunburns and lightning my girls and God got me through this one. When I started this season I would have never guessed I would make such amazing friendships. This tournament was difficult for everyone and I had to fight for every round I won. Well I made a crazy decision. I donated my hair for the 6th time!! I felt very compelled to do this in memory of my Nana, Susan Vann. I hope I helped a child somewhere gain self confidence and happiness. Anyone considering doing this I highly recommend, the feeling of helping a child in need brings incomparable joy. “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.
