Indoor Nationals this weekend was one for the books. I was noticing some problems in practice a couple days before the tournament, so I switched from my hinge to my thumb release to see what I could do, and I started shooting some really tight groups. I was confident after that going into this weekend and put up some decent scores, putting me 2nd in JOAD and 3rd in FITA at this venue, which I’m extremely happy with for being in an older division now! Other locations have to finish shooting before we will know the combined national results. So pumped to leave for Vegas in 2 days!

JOAD Nationals 2025: I came into the week feeling good and I ended up 3rd for JOAD Nationals. Went into the JOAD US Open feeling good shot well in my bye and first round; then going into the second round I encountered some issues with my bow and I was able to grab my backup bow, but unfortunately I was down a good amount and was not able to come back from the points lost in the first three ends. Overall it was a fun weekend and now time to prepare for Youth Worlds! #eastonarrows #truball_axcel #flexfletchvanes #cleartargetlenses #dartonarchery @usaarchery

This was a very fun but long day! We started off the day with a qualifying round. I qualified 2nd with a 683/720. That’s the best that I have shot in a tournament so far! Then after an hour lunch break we went straight into 7 round robin matches! 13 hours later, all of the points were decided I ended up second over all and I’m going to Canada! After a rough Nationals I wanted to come into buckeye just wanting to have good shots and no regrets. I reminded myself that I needed to be calm during the storm not just before it. Some good friends reminded me of Roman’s 8:18 “ what we suffer now is nothing compared to glory he will reveal to us later”. Going into elims I was ranked 2nd. During elims my shots were great just not enough and I ended up 5th which I am very happy with. Thank you @thehungrychungarian for standing behind me and reminding me that all I can do is focus and control myself. Thank you @mcdarchery & @myi_archery for being with me every step of the way and being the best uno gang ever.

If I even tried to describe the amount of joy and humbleness I’ve felt these past couple of days I’d be here forever. I’ve been chasing a 300 for around 3 years now, coming close multiple times, but not getting it. I guess I just had to wait until the most nerve-racking tournament to shoot one! Never in my life have I ever been so ecstatic to reach a goal. I came off the line after my last round with a shocked face and tons of smiles waiting for me, and I realized how all of the late nights and dedicated hours had finally payed off. Shooting a 295 and a 300 for the weekend put me in 5th place out of 116 girls! The 2020 Vegas Shoot is going to be one to remember for the rest of my life.
To the village who has helped me chase my dreams, thank you for believing in me. My coaches, my parents, the best bow tech @csmith527, and my support system of friends and family, none of your support goes unnoticed.
To my friends who shared this excitement with me all weekend, thank you for helping me keep my head in the game and for always being right behind me and a fist bump away.

Shot USA Nationals and the Texas State combined tournament this weekend, and ended up placing 2nd in both JOAD and FITA in the state! We’ll find out National results later on.

I need to give a shout-out to the 2 younger girls in these pictures, Raylie and Sarah. They kept a smile on their face the whole tournament, and held their ground! They are both going to keep doing great things!!
