There is a common misconception that someone who has experienced trauma will react in a certain way.

There is no “right” way to respond to trauma. Everyone responds differently. You may cry, freeze, feel numb, appear calm, or struggle to remember details.

Whatever your response, support is available.

What a morning. 💙

We were honored to come together at this year’s brunch to celebrate the cast and crew of The Morning Show — and to recognize the power of storytelling to create real change.
Through their work, they’ve brought greater awareness to sexual assault and workplace misconduct, illuminated the impact on victim-survivors, and inspired deeper understanding, accountability, and change. That kind of storytelling matters. It shifts culture, opens conversations, and reminds survivors everywhere that they are seen and believed.

I’ll be honest — I was more than a little hesitant to tour the Rape Treatment Center. But I walked away completely blown away.

Their clinic offers free, 24-hour care in a private, thoughtfully designed space — and what struck me most is how truly patient-centered it is. Every step is the victim-survivor’s choice, from start to finish. Nothing happens without their say. And Stuart House, their groundbreaking facility for children, is unlike anything I’ve seen — every detail considered with so much care. The staff? Literal angels, doing the most incredible work every single day.

I’m so grateful I got to be part of this year’s brunch and see it all firsthand. Please consider joining me in supporting their important work — so they can keep offering free care, 24/7, to everyone who needs it.

We’re proud to have Noah Wyle on RTC’s Men’s Leadership Council, a group of men who believe that preventing sexual violence and supporting victim-survivors is everyone’s responsibility.

Men’s voices matter in this movement — not as bystanders, but as active participants in creating change. When men show up, speak out, and lead, culture shifts.

Yesterday’s Brunch for the Rape Treatment Center and Stuart House was a beautiful reminder of what this community makes possible.

On behalf of our entire Board, our councils, and the RTC team, thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, and helped make this year’s event so special.

To our generous donors and sponsors, your continued support allows us to provide free, comprehensive care to victim-survivors, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From emergency medical care and forensic examinations to long-term therapy and prevention/education, this work changes lives every single day.

A special thank you to the cast and the team behind the The Morning Show for joining us and using your voices to raise awareness about this vital work. Your support means the world to our community.
