FACT:
I didn’t start behind the camera.

I started with makeup… on dancers.
Fixing details. Balancing faces.
Then I’d photograph my work—just to document it.

One day, a dancer brought my photo to her agency.
They looked at it and asked,
“Who shot this?”

That was the moment.
The photographer was born.

To this day, my eye doesn’t start with the camera.
It starts with the eyes.
Then makeup.
Then how the hair frames the face.
Then I pull back and see the whole story.

It’s a blessing… and yeah, sometimes it slows me down—
because I see everything.

There was a time I did it all—
hair, makeup, styling, directing, shooting.
And it got so busy I had to let go of wearing every hat.

But every now and then…
I step back into full control.

Because that’s where the art hits different.

That’s where the joy lives.

Always choose joy.

30+ YEARS. THOUSANDS OF FACES. ONE PASSION.

After more than three decades behind the camera, you might think I’ve seen it all.

But here’s the beautiful truth…

Every face is still a first for me. ❤️

Every person who steps in front of my lens brings a different story, a different energy, and a beauty that belongs to them alone.

I’ve never believed photography was simply about capturing what someone looks like.

It’s about discovering what makes them shine.

Sometimes it’s confidence they didn’t know they had. Sometimes it’s a smile they’ve forgotten how to share. And sometimes, it’s seeing themselves in a way they never imagined possible.

That’s the magic I still feel after all these years.

The cameras have changed. The industry has evolved. But the joy I experience when someone sees their own beauty?

That feeling never gets old.

Because to me, you’re never just another face.

You’re a new story. A new beginning. A beautiful possibility ready to bloom. ✨

True beauty is unseen. ❤️

Hey everyone,
Every year, September 11 reminds me how quickly life can change — and how deeply we can love, grieve, remember, and rise.

My heart is with every life lost, every family forever changed, and every soul who still carries that day with them.

May we continue to choose compassion over division, hope over fear, and love over hate.

We remember.
We honor.
We rise.

America, forever strong. 🇺🇸

Big hug- Russ
