The stories we tell shape our future - so how can we tell better ones? 🤔

We’re teaming up with @content.rising for a one-day event all about the power of storytelling to explore how, together, we can positively shape what the future looks, sounds, and feels like. 🌍✨

@mrmattgolding will be hosting a talk called ‘We Don’t Need Another Hero’s Journey’, diving into how storytelling got us here, how it could help get us out… plus a whole bunch of Tina Turner references. 💃

You might think of pigeons before seahorses or beavers if we said ‘British wildlife’.
But, believe it or not, the UK’s south coast is home to the short-snouted seahorse, while beavers are vital ecosystem engineers and have been reintroduced in several areas.

The UK is one of the world’s most nature-depleted countries. It was once a thriving haven of biodiversity, but now, preserving its wild past relies on conservation projects. The good news is that many of these projects are successfully under way.

It's time to stand up for a better future, and with our HQ in Bristol, we’re proud to be standing with 70+ other businesses today on World Environment Day calling for our local parliamentary candidates to back the Climate and Nature Bill ahead of the General Election.

Businesses representing over 2,500 employees & £500million of revenue, including @sawdaystravel , @silverback_films Films and @finisterre – have signed a letter co-ordinated by @triodosuk making the case for the Bill.

People and the economy will benefit, so it makes huge sense to get behind.

Reading the news and seeing climate graphs ramping up is enough to feel anyone with gloom, but the stories that aren’t getting told are of the growing concern and action from ordinary people.

So this V-Day, we super excited to have partnered with @theclimatecoalition as part of #ShowTheLove to celebrate brilliant communities across the UK taking action to protect what they love.

In light of the news that global heating exceeded 1.5C across an entire year for the first time, it’s vital to spotlight the amazing climate leadership of people like us, and show politicians there’s a urgent mandate and spreadable ideas for change being made real across the UK.

💚 Now more than ever we need to help show people positive routes forward 💚

Which is why it's exciting to be kicking off a new project for 2024 doing just that 🌱

@thecrownestate and @triodosuk have come on board, alongside @waterbearnetwork Network as media partner, for 'Sea, Land, City' – a @wonderoom.co documentary project made to bring to life powerful nature based solutions across the UK, starting with South-West England.

@mrmattgolding will direct via Rubber Republic who'll produce the film in partnership with the amazing @maireadcahill and we'll be filming in Spring 2024.

We'll trek, wade and forage our way through the South West to meet nature based projects and the people behind them - to make visible what's already happening to restore nature, and to show how we can go further - Momentum is already building 🌱🌊 🙌
