You might think of pigeons before seahorses or beavers if we said ‘British wildlife’.
But, believe it or not, the UK’s south coast is home to the short-snouted seahorse, while beavers are vital ecosystem engineers and have been reintroduced in several areas.

The UK is one of the world’s most nature-depleted countries. It was once a thriving haven of biodiversity, but now, preserving its wild past relies on conservation projects. The good news is that many of these projects are successfully under way.

Join filmmaker @maireadcahill as she makes her way around our once-green and pleasant land, meeting those restoring nature for good of everyone.

Absolutely thrilled to be launching our film ’Sea, Land & City’ an adventure into nature restoration at Blue Earth Summit which we premiered last night and is available to watch globally on @waterbearnetwork

About the film: Join me as I embark on an adventure across sea, land and city to explore nature-based solutions in action across South West England. Get up close to meet the projects and people involved - from reintroduction of beavers, to restoration of rainforest and coastline, to floating pontoons in the city. Through the journey we explore what it looks like to reconnect with nature in a way that supports our mental health and the health of our economy and climate.

A very special thank you to the people, team and sponsors who made ‘Sea, Land & City’ possible 🫶🏼
