Premium bbq hotpot buffet @dainty_hotpot_bbq_buffet

Located in Melbourne CBD dainty hotpot buffet serves both quality meat and a large variety of hot pot ingredients. That’s not all they also have a good range of Chinese hot food selection as well as seafood options including fresh oysters. This place is worth a visit and I think the selection they provide are very good. Every selection had a purpose- I was particularly impressed with the dessert options which is sometimes overlooked at buffets. I reckon I enjoyed them better than some of the dessert options provided at hotel buffets. I also loved the tomato soup base for the hotpot -THE BEST & super full of flavour!

There are also various options of buffet available:
BBQ + hotpot / BBQ ONLY/ food only for Mon-Fri Lunch
BBQ + hotpot/ BBQ only available for Mon-Fri dinner
BBQ + hotpot only for weekend lunch

Various prices available depending on the day so make sure to check their website for more details! They range in between $29.80-$79.80pp

Affordable Japanese teishoku meals @dokutoku_melbourne

Located in docklands @dokutoku_melbourne offers lots of solid variations of Japanese meals. My fav was the chicken katsu with Japanese curry sauce! They also have lots of donburi options perfect for solo diners too. I’ve come back here a few times now, always a good experience!

My top favourite sandwiches in Melbourne I’d absolutely recommend to friends/ family visiting (in a random order)💓

Marko’s Schnitzel in Moorabbin 4.8⭐️ on Google -no Instagram handle🌝 and only open on weekdays until 2.30pm🙂‍↕️my favourite has to be garlic and paprika schnitzel in pita bread -I love adding egg salad and mushroom to my order overall there’s SO MUCH FLAVOURR

@babas_deli in Port Melbourne 4.8⭐️ on google -thick and juicy chicken crumbed chicken in the softest and fluffiest focaccia ever served w vodka sauce and stracciatella cheese👍 I couldn’t believe I’ve only recently discovered this place

@shootercafe.carlton I love the combination of grilled panini bread, house made pesto mayo and chicken schnitzel. I couldn’t complain anything about this sandwich -sauce is on the slightly sweeter side which made everything taste better

@carlitos.collingwood in Collingwood another 4.8⭐️ spot on Google. Bread is fluffy on the inside but very slightly crispy (sourdough texture) on the outside. Chicken schnitzel is the banger here -they know how to season their chicken🔥

@editasmelb in Carlton North. not a sandwich spot but they have the best fish burger in Melbourne and you can’t change my mind. Freshly fried battered fish w house made tartare😮‍💨

@bakerbleu in various locations -I go to the one in Caulfield North. These are my most favourite “healthy” sandwich -free range shredded creamy chicken, avo, tomato’s and lettuce in country sourdough white tin -softest sourdough bread everrr

@labottegacarnegie Woodfired panini served with various toppings made to order INCLUDING the panini. Only available during lunch time so plan your visit!

My new favourite egg tarts!? @charlies_tea_au

I finally got to try some drinks and dessert from that place everyone’s been queuing up for in Melb cbd!

Charlie’s Tea has recently launched the new series of longjin green tea series and ofc I had to try along w some of their popular desserts too👍

But what took me by surprise was that they have these super crispy and smooth egg tarts which are now one of my favourite tarts ever🥰

I ordered
💓 egg tarts ⭐️
💓tong sui selection 3-coconut milk with cassava grand slam 11.9
💓tong sui selection 4-fresh milk with grass jelly, red bean and jumbo taro ball
💓long jin green tea with cheese top 6.9
💓long jin green milk tea 7.9 (medium)

‼️The Tong Seoi is available after 5pm at their Elizabeth Store every day, the egg tarts and new drinks available at both stores

Taste of Texas in Melbourne! @tbbq339

A new discovery for my weekend in Fitzroy was this Texas style BBQ at @tbbq339
They smoke their meat over red gum tree and always prepare the meat fresh to order as they should!
Additionally there’s a large variety of house made sauces for you to choose from to pair with the meat which makes the experience even better👍

I tried:

Trendy brunch cafe in Brunswick @ona.melbourne

Ona is where you will find all the trending brunch dishes in Melbourne! If you love anything in between classic to Asian fusion dishes this place may be perfect for you.

I really enjoyed every bite of the food -couldn’t think of anything to complain about👏 Their drinks are on the pricer side however I personally thought they’re worth it for the flavours👍

Japanese izakaya with $15 yuzu sake! @namooizakaya

I love my tapas kinda type restaurants especially with Asian fusion dishes -Namoo izakaya located in CBD ticked it off with a bonus, generous portions!! Perfect spot for a group gathering with something for everyone esp great dishes to be paired with drinks👍 I enjoyed every dish ordered, would defs go back and order them all again🫪

Perfect winter dessert spot @blackballchinatown

Their Taiwanese desserts are such a vibe from the milk tea hotpot to tofu pudding, shaved ice and chewy taro balls. The best part is that most menu items can be enjoyed hot or cold, so you can pick whatever you’re feeling (especially handy when Melbourne weather can’t decide 😅)

A warm/cool milk tea hotpot on a chilly day🫣 or a refreshing cold dessert when you’re craving something lighter… honestly, both hit differently!!

All new modern Thai experience -KAB KHAO- @khao.melbourne

The team behind Khao Melbourne have come up with a new dining concept of serving some of northern Thai favourites and other Thai dishes in Melbourne🫶🏼

I got to try their chefs sharing menu which essentially provides 1 entree 2 mains and 1 side for $29.90pp (shared in between 2 guests min)!! I thought this made the different dishes very accessible for people love to order a variety of dishes to try. You can order à la carte too for sure.

The sharing menu offers excellent value for money and makes for a worthwhile experience for everyone!
