Just one of the many behind the scenes jobs for us florists. Crazy satisfying and it’s taken me a long time to find the most effective way to remove melted wax from our candle holders and tea lights etc. Here are my top tips:
1 - Always use a sieve to catch the wax. Don’t let it go down the sink otherwise it will get blocked and you’ll have to get a plumber out, I mean who would do that…? 🤦🏻‍♀️
2- Fill a sink with warm water and washing up liquid and pop your candle holders in. Leave them until the water cools completely , don’t be tempted to pick!
3 - Don’t use boiling water from a kettle it just melts the wax into liquid and it smears over everything .
4 - Wait for the water to cool and you will find that the wax gently peels away in one piece.
5 - Rinse and polish ready for your next wedding and then get ready to clean them all over again 🤣

Florals on florals at the iconic Cliveden House with Anthony and Emma.

There’s nowhere quite like Cliveden House. It’s the tones, the grandeur, the views - and that French Dining Room! Yet to see a season it doesn’t suit.

Didn’t want to part with these…! It’s the little touches of Salvia and Abelia that give these arrangements their lovely texture.

Incredible Dahlia, Salvia, Snaps and Abelia from @greenandgorgeousflowers. Teamed these up with Dutch Sweet Avalanche and Red Naomi from @flowervisionlondon to match our corporate clients branding. As always taken to their destination over a bridge in a trolley. IYKYK! @monkeyislandestate.

Oh, these photos… 💕
📷@hannahmcclunephotography

We loved getting to know these two lovely people and being involved in all the planning for their gorgeous wedding @clivedenhouse .

After they visited our workshop one weekend, we sent them off to one of our favourite farm shop cafés @bluetinproduce,
they even ended up making friends there too💕

I received the loveliest thank-you note and a handmade Portuguese tile as a thoughtful keepsake 💕 It’s one of the things we really enjoy about weddings, getting to know people over the months of planning, even if it’s only for a relatively short time.

As always, there was a brilliant team involved in making the day happen, and it was lovely working alongside lots of familiar faces as well as meeting some new ones. 💕

The Victorian Summerhouse @wasingweddings is a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding. Whenever we set up a wedding there,we’re always accompanied by birdsong, it’s a peaceful beautiful spot, very close to nature 🌿 Scroll through to see the bridal bouquet, fully wired and finished with trails of Jasmine and honeysuckle.

Scroll through to see how we decorated these stairs abundantly for a beautiful summer wedding. It was done in layers using sustainable methods with some clever mechanics that we developed over time, specifically for this staircase. 🌿

We have been lucky enough to flower up weddings at Wasing for more than 15 years now. We love decorating the beautiful spaces and we’ll be dressing the Garden Room and Castle Barn for their Forever Showcase on 27-28 Sept. Do tell us if you’re getting married there and if there is anything you’d like to see us make or create for the Showcase!
