🦁🐆 Born free, As free as the wind blows As free as the grass grows Born free to follow your heart! 🐆 Born Free - Matt Monro ‧ 1966 ( from the film of the same name) 🦁 📻 It's the final day of #rubyredmusikmix where we have been taking a trip down memory lane with music by the fabulous Matt Monro & Andy Williams 💕 It also means I will reveal next weeks theme on Friday! 🦁 Taken from the fabulous film of the same name and true story of George and Joy Adamson, a wildlife conservationist couple in Kenya who raised an orphaned lion cub named Elsa in the 1950s.Another memory of watching it as a child and discovering this wonderful song! 🎼 Music fills my soul now, I've lost all control now, I'm not half, I'm whole now, With your love! 💘 Happy Heart - Andy Williams- 1969 📻 It's day two of #rubyredmusikmix  where we are exploring music by the fabulous Matt Monro & Andy Williams! 💘 I just love this tune by Andy! Grew up listening to it, my parents had the Albums and the songs always made me smile and sing 😊 🎬This tune was used in one of my favourite films too "Shallow Grave" a Danny Boyle classic black comedy &  psychological thriller released in 1994, set in Edinburgh Scotland and mainly filmed in Glasgow! Brilliant film!👌 💛 Styling just had to be fun fun fun and happy with a 60s vibe which was the era the song was released in 🌸🌸🌸 Lindy Bop thrifted dress from last year and seen here before was perfect for this look! On days like these when skies are blue and fields are green... 🇮🇹 On Days Like These - Matt Monro - 1969 (Soundtrack to movie " Italian job" ) 📻 Welcome to day one where we will be exploring music by the fabulous Matt Monro & Andy Williams! 🎬 🇮🇹 The Italian Job...what a film! Set in Turin Italy and famous for the mini cooper cars 🚗What a tune by the iconic powerful voice of Matt Monro, which always gets me so emotional!💘 🇮🇹 Love the Italian 1960s feel intro to this song, its one Dad and I sung together in the car and at home, and he loved his cars!🚗 🚗 He was always buying old quirky old bangers, doing them up and a lot of the time they wouldn't last long but they were just so cool ! Scroll to second pic along to see me & him with one of those cars, just outside the Restaurant/ Café by the Serpentine in Hyde Park, my stomping ground growing up!🇬🇧 🎬 Of course we loved the film too and watched it many a time! @sunshinesandiboo thought of you with this tune and singing in the car with our Dad's 🇮🇹 🥰 🚗🩷 Styling was easy! 📻 Join me next week for a trip down memory lane as we explore two Artists who I grew to love through my amazing musical Dad who played their tunes throughout my childhood and we sung them together in the car lots ! 🚗💘🚗💘 📻 Both singers are known for their traditional pop tunes and orchestral easy listening from the late 1950s spanning to the 1970s 🇬🇧 Matt Monro was British and 🇺🇸 Andy Williams American, two wonderful talents and amazing voices with some of their songs featured in famous movies too! 🎬 If you don't know them,  now is the chance to explore...you will be surprised what vintage treasure music you will discover and probably already know! 🎡 Work for their prosperity, while the big wheels turn, now it's too late to learn .. 🎪 { The Circus  - Erasure -1987 } 🎪 🤡 Roll up, Roll up! 🎡We welcome you all to day one in the Musical Big Top for the return of the #rubyredmusikmix 🎪 "Circus Music Week"! Ringmasters Angie & Mel invite you to the three day Circus Extravaganza!🎪 🎪 My tune today "The Circus" is a belter of a tune that is actually deeper than it seems as it explores the impact of technology and societal change on individuals and their dreams but the instrumentals are so very "Circus" and Erasure is Synth Pop at its best!
