My thoughts on the eve of the most important midterm election in American history.

I’d bet Dems end with 240 seats in the house and 53 seats in the Senate.

All gas no brakes. The beginning of the end of MAGA starts tomorrow. 🇺🇸 by @rufusgifford

Leaders who speak to the urgency of the moment and do something about it while articulating who we need to be in the future.

That’s who @gavinnewsom is. It’s hard not to get fired up when you listen to him.

Was great to see him again today. 🇺🇸 by @rufusgifford

Let’s give our friends around the world a reason to believe in us again.

Something special is happening across the country right now. by @rufusgifford

I’ve spent most of September in Europe.

And while you all know how much I love to be in my second home of Denmark, this trip has felt different. It’s felt darker. It’s hard not to feel like people - from the top of society to the man on the street - with every passing day are giving up on us. And it’s easy to understand why.

So much damn work to do Americans.

My thoughts here. 🇩🇰🇬🇱❤️

I’ll end by saying that everyone is paying attention to November. I had a taxi driver say to me: “good luck on the midterms. I like Talarico. We’ll all be watching.” 🇺🇸

See you soon @stephenjdevincent and Svend and Odin, I can’t wait to hug you all. by @rufusgifford

Finishing my final event in Aarhus on my final day in Denmark.

My biggest takeaway from my 11 events here is that the work Americans must do to rebuild trust is extensive and extraordinary.

Lots more to say. Thanks as always to Danes for helping me to understand the world a little bit better. Like you’ve always done. 🇩🇰❤️ by @rufusgifford

I’m angry but not about the substance of the deal. That appears good. I’m angry about the long term human cost. I’m angry because all of this could have been avoided. And none of that is worth it. But due to Donald Trump’s recklessness, here we are.

My thoughts here. by @rufusgifford

A Danish man came up to me last night after an event and asked me to please deliver a message to any American that would listen.

I wanted to tell that story. by @rufusgifford
