Most people see a rug.
We see fiber, construction, soiling, risk, beauty, history and art.

That is the difference.
Not all rug cleaning is the same and not all cleaners are rug cleaners.

@rugworx rugs are not an add on service. They are THE main service. Fine rugs, pet rugs, designer rugs, viscose headaches, heirlooms, big box synthetics, hand knotted wool, weird blends… this is what we do every day.
AND WE ❤️ IT.

We are rug experts, not rug snobs.
We are here to help you protect what you paid for and save what can still be saved.

Mal @nc_carpet_binding invited me on the NC SHOP TALK podcast to talk about our social media success at @rugworx.

We were going to break down:
• TikTok going viral
• 900k+ followers across platforms
• Staying referral-only for 22 years
• How we attract high-end clientele online

But then…

We started talking about:
• Marriage and business
• Hidden revenue streams like rug storage
• Why perfection kills content
• And why my love language is referrals

It became a real conversation.
Not just tips.
Not just tactics.
But mindset + long game strategy.

If your social feels stale or you’re chasing followers who never turn into customers… this one might shift something.

This is the biggest mindset shift in proper rug care.

MOST Rugs aren’t disposable.
They’re investments. Heirlooms. Design pieces. Functional art.

Waiting until a rug looks dirty is usually too late.

• soil settles deep before you see it
• fibers slowly break down over time
• wear happens quietly, not all at once

Professional rug cleaning isn’t about appearances.
It’s about preservation.

The goal isn’t “make it look new.”
The goal is to help it last.

That’s the difference between cleaning something you replace
and caring for something you keep.

Only about 1 in 3 businesses make it to 10 years. So when someone you love and respect hits that milestone, you SHOW UP. 🥂✨

Last night Scott and I celebrated 10 years of @emmycouturedesigns, and it was such a special night.

Going out on your own is one thing. Building an interior design business in Scottsdale, creating a name for yourself, serving clients, leading a team, raising a family and continuing to grow for an entire DECADE is another.

Emmy really is fearless, sweet, talented and she is surrounded by so much love, family and support. 🫶

Success isn’t only about building your own thing. It’s also about showing up and cheering when someone else builds theirs. We are always rooting for our friends and clients in all of their endeavors. Congratulations on 10 YEARS, Emmy. It is fun watching you grow and level up!

Everyone knows we clean dirty rugs, but they don’t know about some of our “speciality services”, our special sauce, the stuff that makes us experts and why our dream clients find us and keep coming back.

Our Rug Receiving Program is one of those special sauces that sets us apart. This service has been like my baby. 3 years in the making, but not advertising to the masses. The hush hush service for rug dealers and interior designers who need a specialist to receive their NEW rugs, inspect them within 48 hours, steam out the creases, treat them with Fiber Protector then deliver them to where they need to be.

🤫 DM or Text us for details before your next BIG rug order (602)350-4083

Let’s talk about the most important step in rug cleaning that almost nobody talks about 🟰DUSTING!

Every rug acts like a giant air filter in your home.

Over time, dust, dirt, sand, pet dander, hair, and debris work their way deep into the foundation of the rug.

The crazy part? A rug can hold POUNDS of dry soil and still look relatively clean on the surface.

This is why proper rug cleaning starts with dust removal.
• dusting removes dry particulate soil before washing
• washing a rug without dusting first can create mud deep within the rug
• the more soil trapped in the rug, the less effective the wash process becomes

This is one of the challenges with in-home rug cleaning. Most rugs are not properly dusted before the cleaning process begins.

And unfortunately, some in-plant cleaners skip this step too. 😳🙈

At Rug Worx, dusting isn’t an extra service. It’s the foundation of everything that comes next.

Because if the dust is still in the rug, the rug isn’t truly clean.

So much of what is trapped in rugs is not visible from the top. That is why proper dusting AND a real wash matters.

This is your reminder that “it doesn’t look dirty” and “it is clean” are not the same thing.

Summer is officially HERE☀️

Thank you to @asidaznorth and @rondopools for creating such a beautiful evening for designers, industry partners, and creative peers to connect.

Anytime the design community gets together, the best part is always the conversations. Meeting new people, reconnecting with friends, hearing what design projects everyone is working on, and continuing to build real relationships in this industry.

Scott and I are always grateful to be part of this design community and to support the designers who trust us with their clients and their rugs.
